Just what we needed
I had to grind away a small corner to accommodate an existing rivet, so it would lay flat, but the holes were close to the original and it worked well

Looks good, Cheap Chinese faulty casting
perfect match to the original, but not original. Hard to praise or criticize....(initial review in 2019)2022: Broke after years of just sitting, stowed. Awning literally was never deployed/used since 2019 repair. Brought awning down for cleaning and maintenance check, latch lever snapped in half as soon as rafter assembly was lifted to unlock from top latch. Didn't touch it. Broken remainder pivots nicely with spring return (wasn't jammed up). Trailer has literally not moved in 6 years. Failure looks exactly like other customer's photos same bracket. Cheap Chinese junk.Nobody likes to waste money, but save yourself the frustration of an awning failure like this while you're on the road, and you can't even drive for worries the whole assembly will fall off the trailer at the first bump. This bracket is THE PRIMARY ANCHORING attachment of the awning frame to your trailer or RV. Buy the $62 variety in the last picture....that's my other one, also aluminum, been there for over a decade. Guess where it's not made? I guess the Chinese don't worry about being in court for product liability or negligence. I guess Sun Chaser's made in USA variety is worth the price.

Modified these to replace the old style bracket.
The old style bracket for Dometic awnings can't be found anywhere. It took about an hour and a half each and the bigger Dremel cutoff wheels and I was able to make these for the older Dometic awnings. These brackets are pretty solid and they fit the existing mounting holes almost perfectly. Very happy with this purchase over having to buy a whole new awning.

Doesn’t open wide enough.
The jaw doesn’t open wide enough to fit the cross bar. I had to doctor it up and cut the jaw with a bad saw to make it work.Doesn’t come with hardware lag bolts to install. I used what previously came off the old part

Not installed yet
They look shiny, they look new, they look new, they are still in the bag they came in but not installed. That will probably happen in a few months maybe when the snow melts. Until then they will remain in the bag provided by the supplier.
