Fit and ALMOST Finish
Fit and (Almost) finish. Guitar came in really nice shape. Lots of stickers. No truss rod key. Not in tune unless your jamming C# or something. Intonation seems close on 4 strings. The others 2 high strings are finicky. No cracks or dings. The color is killer. Fret sprout on the finger side starts at about the 8-9th fret and gets worse The rest of the way down. It starts at about the 12th fret on the thumb side and gets worse the rest of the way down. Actually pretty sharp on both sides. Initial plug in went horrible. The cord wouldn't go all the way into the jack. I dismantled it and bent the mechanism to the proper point. All the knows function properly. The switch is a bit soft switching to the bridge pickup position. Great sustain as expected from an SG. Tones in all positions and split pickup are great. I'd give it a higher rating if I didn't have to deal with the fret sprout issue. It's not unplayable, but not up to even a cheap guitar standard. It's really only those 2 issues. If you want to plug and play and are not handy, you're going to be disappointed if you can't plug it in. Just FYI. But you know...China... I'm not sure where the other options of the SG's on Amazon are made. I just wanted other color options. Happy Shredding people! Play late and play LOUD! 🤘💀🤘

Absolutely gorgeous
I've been In love with SG epiphone and Gibson models for.. well.. since I first got to play my best friend's SG special in middle school. I had some dinky walmart guitar and it was an absolute incredible experience to pick up something that felt like it fit me. This was the same experience I had receiving this piece of badass hardware.I opened it, tuned it, played for a bit, retuned the strings, played it some more, retuned and locked the strings. They haven't changed from perfect tuning to the cent thanks to the grover tuning machines stock Installed on this bad boy. The action, is a little low. Like 1mm low. And the humbuckers need adjusted to fit the action. As of reception they're flat and the coil screws are all level but that's the kind of thing you should expect.Pluging it in the pickups are very sensitive and ring out well, the coil splitting is such an odd thing for me but it's very Interesting to get anywhere from a tin vintage sound to a gritty warm sound and anything in between. It comes with a lifetime warranty from epiphone! If you're on the fence, buy it. You have 30 days to decide and return it. But you won't.

Great guitar with lots of extra features
I love this guitar, the ebony fretboard combine with the asymmetrical neck make it extremely comfortable to play.Like a lot of SG models, the body is very light, making the guitar headstock heavy. This works out for me but if that's a turn off for you then it's good to know in advance. The finish is beautiful and things like splitting coils make the guitar a little more of an all rounder for different sounds, the grover locking tuners make tuning a breeze, the only thing that may be a little lacking for some is the Epiphone ProBuckers, they are above average, but will sound a bit muddy compared to higher end pickups unfortunately.
