I bought this for use with a cross-stitch art my partner made for me, and it's held up very well even though it's significantly thicker than paper. Initially getting it setup is pretty easy: the frame is a rectangular piece of material and the the holding portions are two thin transparent plastic sheets that are pushed together by a groove in the frame and some rotating metal prongs. While plastic might sound bad, it actually means the whole assembly is much more flexible for other uses, so you can fit thicker materials instead of just paper. I will warn that if you do this, the plastic will bow in the back, but that's invisible from the front side. Also don't worry about the transparency at all, it's perfectly clear because the specimen is held tight to the front face so clouding and surface effects of the plastic aren't noticeable at all.The stand is strong and rigid, but there's nothing holding it into place except gravity (like most frames).

This frame is absolutely perfect and a great value for the money! I couldn’t help but notice people complaining in reviews about the cheapness of the glass insert. Saying it has a cheap plastic or plexiglass look and they’re returning so they can purchase a frame with actual glass. I’m wondering if they know that the plexiglass has a film on each side that needs peeled away? Once you do that it’s gorgeous! Clear, no scratches, and much lighter than the frames with glass. That makes it easier to hang and safer (shatter proof) for those who have kiddos running around and bouncing off of things like we do! I’m 100% satisfied and will be purchasing different sizes when the time comes!!

Perfect for a gift

Towels were too pretty to use.... I found these frames and they are perfect!! The frames are sturdy and good quality. Made the perfect addition to our game room!

It is a perfect plain black frame. I want the focus to be on the picture and NOT on the frame. It compliments the picture.

Beautiful frame - it really fits well in my room. I think the plexiglass is a little cheap looking but it overall is pretty decent. I’m happy with the purchase and I’d recommend others to purchase this as well.

You get what you pay for... The frame is made of very cheap material which arrived with small nicks and scratches and the plexiglass (be warned, these frames don't use real glass) was chipped. None of the blemishes were bad enough to warrant a return, but they were bad enough to leave me disappointed with the product
