At Danner, they are craftsmen. They pay attention to details. They forgo quantity for quality, with the knowledge that the boots they craft are no better than the hands that create them.

Great boots
I work for a large urban PD. I’ve been wearing these boots on patrol for the past three month. I’ll give you the good and bad of the time I’ve worn them. The bad:Break-in... A lot of reviewers say they have no breakin period but mine took about a week to really feel “right on my feet”. That said they’re awesome once they’re broken inPolish... first polish flaked right off. I stripped with alcohol and polished with parade gloss. Now they’re good to go. I’d recommend stripping whatever danner puts on with alcohol before you polishBreathablity... not an issue for me but if you’re prone to athletes foot you may want the non-gortex version. These do breath better than Danner Patrols or AcaciasThe good:Weight... these boots are light as feathersFit... I have a wide foot and got the regular width. After a week of wear they fit like gloves. No hot spots, no discomfort. I’ve stood for long periods and ran in these and they’re greatDurability... I was always skeptical of this type of boot based on their flimsy build. Not the case with these. While they’re flexible and light the soles are still sturdy enough to deal with the rigors of patrol work and the upper is made of tough material.Waterproof.... I’ve trudged through puddles and rain during the monsoons here and my feet stayed dryBottom line: I’d recommend these to anyone looking for a lightweight yet tough patrol boot that’ll fit and feel more like a sneaker

Very comfortable and light.
I bought these for work as a correctional officer. I’m walking constantly every day so I wanted something comfortable and lightweight but also waterproof. These boots are amazing. They are super breathable and light. I haven’t fully gotten them wet yet but I’m sure they will be just fine. These boots are definitely worth the price and hopefully last a long time. I’ve bought other cheap pairs of boots but it seems like I replace them every handful of months so we will see if these can last.

I will say that these boots are very light weight and feel like a minimalist running shoe
I have been using these boots since January 2nd. I wore them for four months in the academy and I have been wearing them on duty for the past six months on Duty during my twelve hour shifts.I will say that these boots are very light weight and feel like a minimalist running shoe. They have a wide toebox which prevents any kind of chafing after wearing them all day long. They cup the heel of your foot nicely and even though the boot has a wide toebox, your foot will not slide around inside of the boot when you're running, walking or climbing. They are extremely waterproof and you will never have to worry about wet feet unless you submerge the tops of the boots. I have submerged my feet in these boots up to the lower part of my shin without any water seeping in. Down here in Florida that means alot to me and is worth its weight in gold. The boot itself due to the goretex is a little on the warm side and being leather, when the sun beats down on your toes you're going to feel it but its not overly uncomfortable. The only downside to the boot is that the soles in the area of the ball of my foot are almost bald. I would have hoped to have more tread after less than a year of wear. Granted, I wear these quite a bit so I cant really complain. I would also be curious to see how well a pair of these would hold up minus all of the drill and ceremony i did in the academy which involved quite a bit of pivoting on concrete.I thoroughly recommend these boots and give them five stars. They are the most comfortable boots i have ever owned.

This is a picture of me standing in icewater
Best pair of boots I've ever owned. I live in Seattle and walk a solid 3 miles a day in the rain, and my feet have never once gotten sore, cold or wet. We recently had a big snowstorm and when it started to melt it was impossible to cross the street without standing in icy slush water. Even wearing paper thin socks I was able to stand in the icy cold water perfectly comfortably for two minutes while taking this picture. I don't know how they do it, they breathe great. They feel like sneakers and you can easily run in them. They weigh nothing.I'm female, usually a size 9.5 with a narrow foot, the men's 8 fit me perfectly.

Lightweight and functional
They are a great product and have held up well so far. I previously used other brands of boots that were bulky throughout the ankle. These boots are very lightweight and comfy in comparison to my others.I use them on 12 hour shifts of patrol and I’ve noticed a lot less fatigue.

Great boots.
Not necessarily for winter for warmth. Extremely comfortable and light. No initial break in. I purchased because of all the positive reviews. I felt I owed others to tell them of this boots quality. Takes a mirror shine also. No complaints.

RUN SMALL AND NARROW BUT GREAT BOOTS!
Yes these do run a half of a size smaller and yes they run narrow. With that being said I am female and wear a size 9.5 to a 10 in women's and a 8 to a 8.5 in men's and I have RIGHT at when measuring a medium width foot. I found a size 9 2E on a warehouse deal and they fit perfect. A medium width would have been to narrow for me. These are some great light weight boots! They feel like your wearing comfy sneakers. I haven't tried out to see how waterproof they are yet. But I wouldn't hesitate to buy at full price. They were also comfy right out of the box. You just have to try a pair to see how great, comfy and light weight these boots are. Also they look great with skinny Jean's for anyone wondering.

Best Boots ever. Be careful of sizing though!
These boots RULE. I have awful feet and I've never found a pair that fits as well or looks as good! They weigh nothing. Good grips, just shy of zero drop , no big chunky heel. Wide toe box means your feet and toes can breathe and move the way they are supposed to. No stiff ankles either. The material is so light and flexible you can move your ankles properly. So far they are pretty good in the snow and cold too. If you're looking for rigid ankle support, don't buy these.I'm on my feet 9 plus hours a day on concrete and they feel amazing. Right out of the box too. No break in time. I'll be getting another pair for regular wear.*** Note on sizing.I'm a womens 8-8.5 and I have narrow feet. I originally ordered Men's size 7 which should translate to women's size 9, as I wanted to be able to wear thick socks in winter. The Mens 7 was right at the end of my toe and almost too narrow... So I returned them and got an 8 Men's. Which should translate to a women's 10. But doesn't. I have ample room and can wear thicker socks than normal, but not big wooly ones. If there was an 8 wide available I would've gotten that. Suffice to say the 8 is working out excellent so far. Feet are warm in -6C and can still move.So if you are female I would suggest ordering your normal women's size in mens. (If you take an 8 - 8.5 women's, order an 8 mens) and if your foot is at all wide I would highly suggest the wide version. Other than the weird sizing these boots are PERFECT, and way cheaper through Amazon than getting them from the manufacturer.

Fits like a boot wears like a shoe.
I work full time as a Peace Officer at my local hospital. I just finished a 8 hour shift, wearing these boots for the first time. The boots themselves i can tell are handcrafted and QUALITY!!!! THESE ARE NOT KNOCK OFF BOOTS. They fit like a boot and wear and run like a shoe. My only issues is that the heel rubbs. This is expected for a first time wear as they are not worn in. The souls are very strong and could take a good fall. The souls are hard right now, this could change as i wear them. Any law enforcement working in a hot urban environment. These are YOUR boots. I know my boots and i have been buying Original Swats for a while now. This was a good change. I am very happy and satisfied with everything.

Very Light Boots :)
I can't speak about durability yet because I just got them but I'm extremely impressed on the weight. I was looking for Gortex Boots for winter Garrison use and I'm glad I picked these up. The do run a little small, I typically take an 11.5 in all my running shoes and civilian boots but read the comments and ordered size 12 D. With the 12s, they fit fine in length and width. I recommend going up half a size in your length and if you have a little wider foot, don't hesitate and go with the wide version.

Amazing boots
Best boots I've owned. Almost a year wearing these boots on patrol. Light and tight is how I like my boots and these are very easy to get that next to skin feel with a non clunky material up your ankle. Even with a thin material I can say these are waterPROOF. Had a chase through ankle high mud then a hose down later on and my feet were dry to go home after shift. The laces has held up I would usually replace laces by now because of how tight I pull them but these laces look new still. If you like a bigger more padded boot this isn't the right boot for you.
