Theater Ultra Short Throw 4K Laser Projector | UST Projector with Dolby Vision & Built-In Speakers | The Top UST Projector at ProjectorCentral's 2022 & 2023 Laser TV Showdown

Edit: After two years, the projector developed a dead pixel on the DMD chip. The extended warranty I purchased through Asurion was straight forward until it was time for them to actually pay the refund they said they were giving me. It took weeks to get my refund, and I do not recommend them as a warranty provider. The projector was great while it worked and I had it, but unfortunately the chip that was used was an old chip and pushed to the max to get the picture it gives. Great in theory, bad in practice as it was guaranteed to eventually fail. Coming from a 75" tv that was loaded with Dolby Vision, 120hz, VRR, and ALLM, this projector really surprised me. I did my due diligence before I made my purchase and did what I think was too much research. For the cost out of the box, thing is pretty impressive. And then you start to tweak the settings and it really comes alive! I paired it with an ALR/CLR screen that's 103" from Elite Screens, and wow did my movies and gaming come to life in a big way. I haven't had any problems with the setup or use, so I cannot comment on the customer service of Formovie, but from other reviews I've read, it's pretty top notch. My only complaint is that the remote isn't backlit, but once it's setup if you are using any kind of programmable universal remote, you shouldn't need it. If you're on the fence about going to a UST over a tv, for the cost you're never going to find a tv that does what this UST does up to 150". I'm glad I went with this one for my home theater setup.

After doing lot of research finally decided to buy this projector. Generally we see projectors from other reputed brands like epson, LG, samsung etc. sold in electronic stores. You see this projector being sold there. But if you do some research, you will get to know about this projector being talked about mostly on reddit and other forums and on YouTube. Pros The quality of picture is amazing(especially when you watch 4k and 8k content). I was initially looking for an oled tv, but since my room bigger decided to go with the projector and picture quality wise it came very close to meeting my expectations. The sounds of this projector is crisp. For this price range the projector is worth the money. Cons The app is bit slow and sluggish. The remote could have been better. The remote doesn't come with batteries, so make sure you have couple of AAA batteries. If your room has ambient light, you may need to spend some money buying ALR screen.

The projector central team gave me a defective product which doesnt connect to any hdmi devices. When I reach out to them they claim that it’s not their responsibility when they are the seller of product. I purchased the product 6 months back and warranty is for 2 years. It’s been almost 2 months since my first follow up and they haven’t come up with a resolution. I want my money back. But I don’t know how to get it back. Vexed up with following up. Why do you want to sell it when you can’t cover any warranties ?

I normally don’t post product reviews, but the Formovie was such a game changer for me in terms of viewing experience that I had to leave one. Not only is the picture quality off the charts, even the sound of the built-in speakers is completely immersive and satisfying as a home theatre experience. Although I had already heard so many good things about these before purchasing, I was blown away well beyond what my expectations were. The brightness is remarkable, especially considering my room has light coming into it in the daytime and is by no means a dedicated theatre room. Everything I watch is vibrant and nuanced with detail that just pops in ways I’ve never noticed before with any other setup. This is now my primary and only means of watching movies and tv series and is the main fixture of my living room. On top of all I already knew before getting this projector, the price point is what drew me in and sealed the deal for me. Outstanding value for a product of this level.

Had it for 2 days and the remote won’t pair up not more so I sent it back today..

This projector exceeded my expectations and checked all the boxes. The colors are incredibly vibrant, making every scene come to life with rich, true-to-life colors. The black levels are deep and well-defined, which was especially noticeable during darker scenes—no washed-out grays or poor contrast at all. The overall picture quality is crisp and clear, delivering a cinematic feel right in my living room. The built-in sound system is another great feature. It’s surprisingly powerful sound for a projector with strong bass and clear dialogue. It paired wonderfully with my home audio setup for an even more immersive experience. Setup was straightforward. I also appreciate the sleek, modern design, which fits nicely into my home entertainment space. We've watched movies, played games, and streamed content, this projector delivers a top-tier experience. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend the Formovie theater projector to anyone who wants an immersive, high-quality viewing experience without breaking the bank.

amazingly great video when paired with 120" fresnel screen

Update 11/20/24 I had reached out to them about the dead pixel. Luckily mine was still under warranty and they had initiated the replacement process for me with ease via Amazon Message Center. Got to them in 3 days and I had my replacement within 6 days. Changed my review and stars to reflect their amazing customer service. Although with DLP chips, just know that they’re forever plagued with dead pixels if you’re unfortunate like me. ——————— It was nice while it had lasted (about a year). Our's has developed a lovely glaring white dead pixel and it sadly won't go away. Trying to see if we can get a replacement or fix out now.

Just brilliant!!

Great short-throw projector!
