The colors of this set are vibrant and the brushes are also nice. Our previous Crayola watercolor set ran out so I went looking for other options. I purchased this set for our preschooler and have noticed the paints do not get as dry and brittle as the previous water color set. The brushes are of a much better quality than the children's sets so its also been enjoyable for our little artist to see how using the brush differently creates different streaks on the page. Highly recommend!

As someone very new to watercolor, I don’t know how things “should be”, but none the less I found these paints to be easy to work with. They seem to have a lot of pigment. The paper is ok but needs to be taped down to reduce warping when water is applied.

I started using water colors very recently. I’ve been using my daughters various sets and had fun so I decided to get my own kit. Oh my what a difference this watercolor set is compared to what we have! The colors are so vibrant and strong. You really get a great use out of it. I love that the top opens up to a 48 color palette. I didn’t know how much I needed that until I had it. The brushes look high quality as well. All together- a great deal for the price!

This was a great beginner set. Great selection of colors, nice selection of brushes, great paper. I took off a star because the included water brush was defective. Can't open it to fill with water! It's taking such pressure to unscrew, I feel like the brush will break before I can get it open. Otherwise - great set. I happily whiled away several hours painting and watching beginner videos on YT.

The colors are vibrant. The paper seems to be a good quality. I thought it was a great price for all the pieces in the kit.

Not sure what "sheerness" is because obviously you can control that, but this little set has everything you need to start out. Case with cakes of watercolors/very nice array of hues; nice selection of decent brushes, sponges for pre-wetting the paper/effects etc. and a pad of watercolor papers to get started. Well worth the price!

I purchased this watercolor set because I was looking for a cheap set to play around with as I had only been doing oil and acrylic for many years and wanted to try to get back into watercolors. I was really impressed with the quality of the product. The paper, brushes, and paints are all excellent. The pigments are very bright and strong and I can get good washes. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the brushes and paper, which I figured would be junky in a set this price. It's a great set for beginners and as well as a good option for more advanced artists on a budget. By the way, I'm a real person who makes art writing an honest review and didn't get any sort of compensation, I just liked it that much!

This is such a beautiful paint set! I have purchased multiple for kids birthday presents and paired with a paint book. My daughter loves this set and we have brought it with us during traveling. It has lasted a long time and I feel like this is well worth the money!

I've never done water colour before so I think it's great for beginners. Great paper and colour selection. You may need some additional paint brushes but they come with decent ones to get you started

Love the range of colours & nice that 3 paintbrushes are included. A bit of a flimsy lid, but excellent value for money imo & perfect for what I wanted.
