Update: 5/17/22 I contacted the seller, and after sending pictures and answering questions about the use, location, etc., they wrote me back and noted that I had placed the wheels of under desk file cabinets on the mat, which I should not have done. Also, the carpet's thickness was a little too thick for this mat, and I should have ordered the mat for a plush carpet. However, they would replace it for no charge. Which they did, and it arrived today.I consider the carpet a low profile, but it must have contributed to the cracking, etc.The Company responded quickly to my emails. They took the time to review in detail my pictures etc. And they sent a new mat even though I was past the warranty limit. A high 5 for good customer service and standing behind the products they sell.Thus, I am raising my rating to a 4 and suggesting to all who buy a mat for carpet thicker than glue down to buy the plush carpet mat. It is only a few dollars more, and I suspect it will last. If this one fails, that is my plan. And I will be buying it from these folks.For the first 12 months, it worked fine. The mat is on wall-to-wall low pile carpet on a standard rather thin carpet pad. I use a 5-wheeled office chair. It is at my desk and is used a good part of each day. About the 12th month, I heard a crack and looked down to see a small crack under one of the front wheels. It is now April, just about 14 months since the purchase, and there are numerous cracks with the first one that I heard and then saw, about 8 inches long with a small chunk broken out. The chair pad is fast becoming unusable.I am very disappointed to have a $100 pad breaking up in less than 15 months. It was installed as directed. Used as expected for an office pad. If you are looking for a chair pad that will last for longer than a year with daily use, this may not be the appropriate choice.

Looking for a large chair mat? This product is worth the money. This fits perfectly for what I wanted in my office so take the time to measure the area you want to cover. If you've read other reviews they weren't kidding that you need to be careful when it arrives at your door because when you break the seal (rolled) it will come apart with a "bang". No issue of laying flat after opening. It does slide a little on medium carpet but nothing unusual compared to other floor mats. Highly recommend. :)

This chair mat is thick and solid. It laid flat as soon as it was unpacked with no curling and doesn't slide around. Rolling a chair over it is super easy and it protects my carpet - which are the two reasons I bought it. I took off one star because it is dangerous to unpack. I read other reviews saying it was tightly rolled and popped open as soon as the tape was cut, so I was extra careful to lay it down in an open space. Even though I was expecting it and trying get out of the way, this mat exploded out as soon as the last bit of tape was cut with enough force to bust my knuckle open. Be VERY careful opening it around children or pets.

Would have given this product 5 stars but need more time to assess after only 2 weeks. Shipped flat as advertised, perfect form and fit. Great surface for chair wheels and underside grips hold in place on a low pile carpet. So far would recommend considering the price and quality i have observed.

I wish they made wider ones, my wheels keep falling off on one side. I do like the quality, it moves with the nap of the carpet, I think those needles under the mat should have it angled out to all sides and may prevent from moving on carpet

This chair mat is much thicker than the previous (I believe vinyl) one I had in my home office, it came in a timely fashion, it was relatively easy to unpack, and my chair's casters don't roll easier over it. However, it slips around on the carpet much more than the previous chair mat. After several weeks of use it had moved forward under my desk by about 6 inches until it completely covered the air register. Now that I know it creeps forward like that, I pull it back by about an inch or so every 5-10 days.My carpet is pretty standard bedroom carpeting and is not that thick/height. With the padding it might be on the higher side of medium pile, but when I measured it according to either Marvelux's directions or another chair mat manufacture's directions, I believe it wasn't high enough to be considered high pile. I'm unsure if it would slide around as much on lower pile carpet, but the studs meant to grab the carpet don't seem like they are long enough for proper medium pile carpet. They are certainly not as long as the ones on my previous mat.TL/DR: If you have carpet that's not on the lower side of medium pile and care about the mat sliding around, you might want to consider another mat, despite this one being thicker and likely more durable than the vinyl one I had before.

This worked great until it cracked under one of my chair wheels. It felt thick and durable enough for daily use but couldn't stand up to my heavy chair. For what it is I don't understand why it costs so much.

Sturdy. Not as thick as I had thought but still good. The spikes are shorter so it can shift on a low pile carpet like a Berber.

It protects my carpet.
