Serves it's purpose
Was super easy to install and makes for a really sharp look. Only complaint is a has to straighten out done of the spots were the thin metal has bent. If you are real ocd about air leaks to then I suggest you take foil tape and seal up all the cracks. Other then that is all good. It's great for getting in tight spaces like in my situation here

Great product saved me from having to buy another dryer
Moving into a new house, I bought a washer/dryer set on Craigslist without measuring the space, since everything seemed very "standard." But when I got the dryer in, it barely cleared the exterior door's swing right next to it. The exterior wall was on the right side of the dryer, but due to a stud placement, the actual vent hole was not exactly at the back of the dryer, but slightly forward. This means any vent solution I came up with would need a very short 90 degree bend, in addition to the 90 degrees both from the back of the dryer, and out of the wall. Overall a very unusual and tight placement. It took a lot of effort to get these appliances (and they were a great deal) so I was determined to make them work. I'm on a slab and the wall adjacent to the back of the dryer was a bedroom, so there was no alternate vent path.Went to big box store and found a telescoping vent similar to this one, but at its thinnest, it was 3" wide. Very clear it wouldn't work right away. I decided to cheat and get the cheapest flex hose and see if I could crush it down to the right size. This didn't work as the flex didn't really crush (by design I'm sure!) and instead kept pushing the dryer back out into the path of the door. Besides, I didn't want a lint fire, and I take the kind of pride in my work that would never let me feel OK about that even if it did "fit."Decided to take a chance on this vent since it is 2" wide, which is about as much clearance as my dryer had on both the back and right side. I knew I would have to modify it, but I wasn't sure how much hassle it would take. When I got it, I measured everything and carefully planned how I would cut and tape the unit to make the 90 degree bend right before the exhaust vent. Some tin snips, aluminum tape, and about 15 minutes later, I had a fully custom vent that fit PERFECTLY into place. It took a bit of finesse to get both ends into the back of the dryer and exterior vent, but the end-result was so flawless it was worth every bit of the effort. My door now has at least 1" clearance, and the dryer fits perfectly flush with the washer. I couldn't be happier.

Miracle cure............
Townhouse.Salesperson for our dryer sold us a unit that is too big based on the measurements I gave her.Delivery/installers shoved the dryer up against the wall, crushing the flex ducting [which has to travel along the back of the dryer to the right - turn 90 degrees towards the front of the dryer - then turn another 90 degrees towards the wall again to reach the dryer duct] and said, "Well, you have 3 of the 4 inches the flex ducting is supposed to give you" and left. A sliding door hides the washer and dryer, so the dryer had to be shoved back to allow the doors to close. I needed another 1 1/2 or 2 inches. Having just experienced a dryer vent fire (the reason for the new dryer!)I am not prepared to do anything less than optimal for venting this dryer. I called the applicance store, they were less than immediately helpful, and it sounded like they were gearing for a denial of repsonsibilty and banging me with a restocking fee.In an attempt to get this dryer purchase project behind us, battling with the store, and incurring more time at the laundromat, we actually cut out some sheet rock immediately behind the too big dryer trying to allow the flex ducting room to make its curve freely and accomplish maximum venting. Didn't work because of stud placement. It sort of worked, but the flex was traveling up and then down......not good.A recommendation from a carpenter led us to the TITE FIT dryer vent ducting device. We ordered it overnight from Amazon.Results. Genuinely miraculous. It fits over the dryer's vent nicely (not always the case with some ducting), travels to the right, and then offers another 90 degree turn. From here, a short run of flex tubing (I hate flex tubing) travels the final distance. The Fit Tite people use a 6" rectangular ducting which compenstates for the 4" round shape by spreading the ducting capacity outward and appears to allow an unrestricted flow of air for the dryer. We applied the Tite Fit, held our breath, and pushed the dryer back into its spot. It fits P E R F E C T L Y. The Tite Fit works beautifully because the dryer being tight up against the wall accomplishes a nicely tight fit of the Tite Fit onto the dryer's vent just from pressure up against the wall, the ability of the Tite Fit to rotate up and down on the dryer vent allowed the device to miss the incoming gas line, and the flex connection onto the final Tite Fit end was again nicely done. The door closes with an inch plus to spare!I am so happy that I wrote the company in addition to spending time writing a lengthy review here in an effort to help someone solve what looks like an insurmountable problem.Quality of the product is good. Finally, its simplicity will allow for easier duct cleaning in my too small townhouse dryer space.

Not as good as you would think.
Looks like a great idea in the picture but after install takes up the same room as the old spiral tubing. Ordered this to try and get the dryer back closer to the wall and out of the walkway but didn’t help at all.

Great idea in concept, but...
Overall it is an ok product. The install is very tricky because the space is limited. I honestly think im only saving maybe 2 inches tops compared to the regular old style expandable dryer vent hose. I was hoping to have a much tighter fit to the back wall but this just didn't provide that extra tight fit.

Works great
This is exactly what we needed for venting our dryer. Without this we were going to have to vent the dryer out the side and then always be looking at the ugly vent hose. This solved the problem. We were able to use the vent behind the dryer and push up up even with the washing machine, saving space and saving us from an eyesore.
