Q: Rear site will not fold down as wheel for sight on left hits rail....any suggestions???

I can see where that would happen if you have the sites mounted on the left side of the gun rather than the right side. I believe these sites are considered for right-handed shooter’s. If you’re left-handed you’ll need a different type of site.

Q: Will i need a front sight tool for the A2 post?

great tool , it helps in my sighting but the rear eye piece is to small, needs to be enlarged

Q: Will these work on both sides of a firearm?

Yes, I’ve had them on both sides. For me, I like them better on the right side. I have the rear sight just forward of the ejection port and I get a really good sight picture.
