Gaskets are cheap, but the valve covers themselves are solid quality. Definitely recommend better gaskets

Had to replace my old ones because they were leaking oil for a very long time. Make sure that when you place the screws in you pull them from the other side in order for the gasket in the bolt to come out the other way some. This will provide a good seal. Also place some oil along the cover gasket so it doesn’t sit dry and make sure that the skinny end goes inside the cover and the ticker side down on the engine. Torque to the right specification.

Needed this to help the Pcv system on my engine. These models the Pcv is part of the cover. OEM is well over 100. These work and great that it came with new hardware and seals. Only a few months on vehicle but no oil leaks and so far it hasn't burned too much oil like before. Will use again.

If you have a 5.3l that smokes like crazy and burns a ton of oil then you need this. It is the updated style and as soon as I swapped them out it put an end to the huge cloud of smoke on startup and oil loss.
