The media could not be loaded. Great hinges but be careful - when you receive them you need to use some pliers to turn the top rod that holds the fixing with the two screws. It doesn’t explain in instructions !!Other than that, they are ok and believe me - needed two for this heavy lid.

Great product, first installing was a bit tricky with instructions but second one was extremely quick as I learnt what not to do. Overall product is great

Bought as one-for one replacements for hinges which had lasted 25 years of robust use on pull down desk, suffering metal fractures at lower hinge/mount marriage. Fortunately they fitted exactly which saved refitting or adjusting mounting brackets, but prospective buyers may wish to be aware of the potential fracture weakness in the cast metal footing.

Fitting is straight forward. The slow-close works well and the lid will stay open until you choose to close it. I fitted onto a toy chest to avoid my grandson’s fingers being squashed and they do the job superbly. I have had them in place for over a year with no loss of strength and would highly recommend them to the point where I have repurchased them for another box.

I was worried this product would be difficult to install, and the included instructions make it look complicated. However there's as template in the box which made it super easy.The product works really well, although the listing could be much clearer about how to choose the correct size dampers. I originally bought a set that was too small for my lid. Douper customer services couldn't have been more helpful though, taking my measurements and lid weight and sending me the correct replacement. 5 stars for customer service!The dampers work really well on my very heavy solid oak toy box lid. The lid closes gently even from vertical, and seems to slow down a bit more just before it closes. I don't have worries about trapped fingers any more.To sum up, a great product and if you're not sure of the size you need, I would recommend contacting the seller before you buy.

Having tried other soft closers when I've been making children's toyboxes this has been the best unit that looks fit for the job without a high cost. Will definitely use these closures when I'm making more toyboxes. The fitting of the closure was so easy with the template that it was fit first time.

Received an item that was supplied by MORINBO and not Douper like suggested. The item was also manufactured incorrectly that meant the lid hinge was locked in place (see picture).

This is a good product, well made and perfect for the job. I found the installation instructions confusing, but having now completed the installation I could do the next one in a few minutes. The written and video instructions for top-opening mounting are OK but not enough is said about the difference for upward-opening mounting. Having said that the support from Douper via Amazon messaging was very helpful, don't bother emailing direct as mentioned in the instructions, I did not get a reply.
