Great window cover installation kit
This kit is so much better than the junk the installers gave us 8 or 9 years ago. I didn’t realize how bad it was until a storm was heading towards us and I needed to cover our windows. Thank God we only took a glancing blow, as I was unable to use the original hardware at all. This kit is exactly what we need and now I will order the rest of the hardware we need to protect the whole house. The design is simple and effective with easy installation. Once I get all of the threaded studs installed into the window frames, hanging the plywood will be a snap. I definitely recommend it.

Decent quality
Since we live in zone 3 it’s essential to have them. Arrived next day - hast it’s own tool to install. Ordered 3 more after that since they seem good quality

Install
To prevent stripping out the driving tool, make sure you have the hole blown out, and the stud fully bottomed out in the driving tool. Or you could just use two 1/4" nuts and a socket to drive the studs.

Perfect! Ignore any negative reviews.
These worked perfect for my wood house. It says you do not need to drill pilot holes for wood because these anchors are self tapping. I did anyway using a smaller bit then you would use for concrete. This was an easy speasy job. For those reviews that said the driver bit stripped the head, they may not have been using the right tool. An impact driver is the way to go when installing the anchors/screws. This is different from a drill. Yes, you can put the bit on a drill but it’s better to use an impact driver. It has the power you need and no stripping. I had absolutely no issues. Used three boxes with no problem. Ready for a hurricane!

5/8 plywood cinder block stucco house
Florida hurricane season prepared. I used a 7/16 masonry bit and Makita hammer drill. 60"X 60" windows. 5/8 plywood is heavy so I cut it into 3 equal pieces and drilled 1/2" holes in the plywood and matched up these anchor bolts. Now it's simple to install when the threat of a hurricane comes. These bolts work great. Use 7/16" masonry bit for Block. Blow out the hole and they will work. If hole gets to big use a small zip tie end and put into the hole and hold on to it then install the tapcon style bolt. Cut off excess. A little tip if you screw up the hole like a lot of people do without experience drilling masonry. These work great.
