My other slicer took the end of my finger off. I saw this one and it looked so much saver in design. I like making 1/8" plantain chips and air frying them until crisp. This slicer has a numbered depth dial that, it appears is in 1/8" in increments. It has undesignated half stops in between the numbers that is a 1/16" step. Really accurate. Put the item to be sliced in the chute and push down on the blade driver. Once the sliced item is short enough you continue with the pusher and operate the blade until the item is completely sliced up. Plantains look like a stack of quarters when done. If you use a potato you get potato chips. There is also a set of blades that can be used to slice vertically as well. With a thicker cut setting of the slicing blade and the use of the wider setting of the vertical blade, you get french fries. I also used this with both the vertical blades and the slicing to julianne a cucumber for a nice cucumber salad. Sliced veggie is dropped into a nice tray beneath the cutter.Easy to clean in the dishwasher top rack with low heat drying.I feel safe using this cutter and have disposed of my other slicers.

I've only used the mandolin slicer once so far, and it was great. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store. I was able to slice potatoes very thin, which was what I wanted. Much easier than doing it with a knife and cutting board! Glad to add it to my kitchen tools!

I really enjoyed this machine. It actually exceeded the means that I needed to actually do me and my mother. Both are enjoying the whole experience of it. It actually helps me get a lot of my prep done a lot faster.

Wonderful mandoline slicer! I had to read the manual, there are so many ways to use this, it's amazing! First onion dice came out great, and carrots are slices well, too! The cleaning brush is so helpful, and it's easy to take apart to clean. I wasn't aware of the suction cups on the legs, that really helps keep it secure and in-place. Slicing is completely safe using this, very little risk of cutting yourself at all.

This is so handy and useful from potatoes to tomatoes. Just rinse with hot water and dry or air dry. No more finger cuts, knuckles scraping, yes I would recommend this to anyone that is 13 and older..sincerelyMartha

Love this slicer and dicer! Perfect for French fries!!! I bought another one that sliced the whole potato at once but I could never get the potato through it without having my husband do it and I hold on to it. It was really tough. I saw an Amazon video of someone using this and through well I will try it. This thing is amazing and so easy!!!! I’ve dialed in my French Fry setting perfectly and they are so much better. Highly recommend !!

This item is sturdy and cuts well. I liked the way it works. Very good. But i will mention 2 important things to be considered before buying1. This needs much pressure to press to get the perfect cut done. So the person who is using his/ her height is important. I’m 5.1 feet. So I had to struggle to put pressure to get things done.2. The most important one. I would like to get attention from the manufacturer. The plastic chute is not made well. It’s very flimsy in comparison to the overall product. Since you have to put veggies through this its gets broke easily. If the chute breaks then the whole product is useless. The plastic basket to hold the precise cut veggies is also flimsy as well. With this price point we expect this issues to be fixed
