I see quite a bunch of people knocking on this case and if you are looking for something thin and sleek, I don't see why you got this to begin with. I got this to protect my phone due to my crazy job and not knowing what could happen to it. You want protection: This case has it. I had one on my old phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 5) and had dropped it numerous times and thanks to this, nothing happened to it. Pen is easy to get out and the camera and fingerprint area is accessible. Fingerprint senor might slip a bit but nothing to be crazy over. Still able to access it just fine. Perhaps after some heavy duty wear-and-tear and dropping a bunch the outer clip section might snap but again, phone is still snug and secure. Plus, if I really wanted: this thing is great for its price. I have no problem buying another and that's only if I want (and that's just for the clip for my belt).

Otterbox definitely has a competitor here. Got the case today 11/5/22. Reason, I had an otterbox for the last 4 yrs after original was replaced after a yr due to the silicone literally coming apart layer by layer. After 4 yrs the replacement started doing the same. I emailed in for another warranty replacement and they contacted me by call stating they "no longer make the product" (funny I bought the case for the "lifetime warranty of the product" yet the phone still works like the day it came out the box. So I started searching and came across this one. The fit, better then the otterbox, you can actually have a tempered glass protector and not worry about the case flexing and popping it up. The plastic back plate actually hugs the phone, otterbox had a little slack. The silicone wrap has a texture equivalent to that of a kids size basketball and is just as grippy. Let's see how a few months go.

very sturdy...had used a lighter, cheaper one previously that I broke 1 or 2 a year and that was harder to hold...I have very large hands and the case was smooth plastic.the bentoben has better protection, non-slip rubbery case and is more bulky which is good for my large hands.getting it into the belt clip is more difficult due the the rubbery case but after a little practice it works.I am on my second one since I wacked the unit hard on a chair...breaking the belt clip. the belt clip is pretty sturdy but it is plastic that will break before a belt breaks...I liked the unit well enough to try a second one.

I already ordered two of these and with the second one I had the same problem as with the first one. The belt clip breaks very easily, the case is good, durable and strong, but the belt clip is not a good quality.

This is a great case. I was spending $50 on Otterbox similar cases and this is as good or better. And you can't beat the price. First of all, this case protects better than just about anything out there. There is a plastic clamshell level of protection and then there is a thick rubber envelop that covers the plastic clamshell. All 4 corners and edges are well protected with thick rubber. Also the screen is well protected - top & bottom, left and right with a raised plastic and rubber edge. The edge is designed slight away from the phone screen so you can easily still reach the Note 8 screen edge and use edge functionality. Thus you get full protection without losing functionality. Second, I like that this case has this think rubber envelope. I had another decent case, but I hated that it would slide around on hard surfaces. It had 4 very small rubber feet, but those feet did not provide enough grip. I like to set my phone on my car console and this case keep the phone in place when I take corners. The other case would slide off the console like a hockey puck. Third, the case has a nice rotating ring that allows you to display the phone. Fourth, there is a hard additional swivel case that allow you to holster the phone on your belt.All the cutouts work. The only concern that one could have with this case is that this is a big case. It will be thicker, wider and longer - more so than most streamline line cases. It is bigger, but I wanted protection. This is why I ordered a case. This was one of my top priorities. I personally like the size of the finished phone. It fits well in my hand and I have a good grip on the phone. I am not a large guy where the case causes any kind of holding issues. It fits perfectly in my hands. Now if you do have extra small hands like a small child, maybe you will have a holding concern. And if you specific want a low profile case and are willing to sacrifice protection to get that streamline look and feel, then this is not the case for you. But if want a case that is fully functional that protects better than 98% of all the cases out there, then this is the case to have.

Case is really big, and I can barely handle the phone now. S Pen isn't too much of a hassle to take out. The rubber used on the outer shell of the case is not grippy at all, but slippery, like one of those $5 cases selling for $20 at a mall kiosk. It's not really a good looking case, I thought there would've been some metallic parts like the o-ring, but sadly everything is either slippery silicone or plastic. The o-ring does make it easier to hold the phone and you'll be less prone to dropping it, but it makes it harder to reach the certain areas. Also trying to prop open the o-ring is a hassle and you'll feel like you'll break your nails trying to get it out. Wireless charging works, but with the OEM Samsung wireless fast charging stand from 2016 won't work for it standing vertically, you actually gotta put it on it's side since this case makes the phone much bigger. The silicone fits a bit loosely around the case, so much that you would probably have a corner or two exposing the inside plastic if you put it in or take it out of your pocket. For that reason it's probably made to use only with the holster. Holster is decent but nothing to write home about. The only good thing about this phone case is that it'll protect your phone pretty good with the silicone, which is mandatory since you'll probably be dropping the phone a lot with this huge case. Honestly wish I would've spent my money with another case.
