I think these small plates are great for desserts or anything that you would serve with coffee like sweet bread, sweet rolls, cake, cookies, doughnuts etc...The variations within the set add interest and keep the overall design from being overdone.

I received a set of these dishes for Christmas and purchased these extra desert plates soon after. The print is lovely but unfortunately after less than 6 months 1/4 of the whole set (including bowls, desert plates, dinner plates, covered bowl set) is already chipped after regular use/ dishwashing.
