I bought other kind of white noise but broke within 4 months. I bought this one for my back up, I had another one few years ago. I use it for my daycare...works so well. I just ordered the 3rd one, high recommended

I’ve used a handful of different machines with my kids being younger and I love this one. The cost for value is great. I love how you have a dial for the sound level so you can get it to the perfect volume instead of needing just the right level between clicks of a button. The volume levels are also very wide ranged from very quiet to super loud. I like how you can choose a button for the type of sound instead of blindly scrolling through them. They really thought everything to make it a perfect machine.

Overall it is acceptable, but the speaker in this unit must be very small as all of the sounds are very trebly. Sounds like a tweeter. There is no bass at all and barely any mid-tone. I know you aren't using it for music, but the depth of full frequency in some other units provides a more realistic simulation of sounds.
