LOVE THE EXTRA ROOM IN THE SHOWER!
I was a little nervous installing the first of two curved shower rods I ordered, so it took me a while. You know, the "measure twice, cut once" saying and all (although, in this case, measure twice, drill once). The first one was a lot more tedious than the second (by then, I was an expert...*LOL*), and required an extra pair of hands. By the time I got to #2 shower rod, I figured out that it would be easier to pull the rod out, closer to the size I needed it to be so there would only need to be minor tweaking before popping it into place. A couple of times, it seemed like the rod was stuck -- maybe when we were sliding the parts together, they weren't aligned perfectly. Anyway, I LOVE the extra room it gives in the small shower. The oil rubbed bronze color is rich and matches the fixtures we have. I also bought matching rolling shower curtain hooks for smooth opening and closing of the shower curtain. Very happy with this purchase!

Great quality. Great price.
I purchased the curtain hangers, as a precaution, based upon the other reviews that I've read. Good thing; they were not included with this rod. The fact that you can remove the mounting ends by depressing the spring snaps is a good and necessary thing. This makes mounting easier. What I found was that I needed to remove one end from the wall and remount it on the bar in order to get the bar between the walls. I would have had to bend the bar to get it between the already mounted ends. However, having one end mounted on the bar and the other on the wall made it rather simple to snap the bar into the one on the wall and screw the other end into the wall anchors I had put in place already. I was able to purchase this, the curtain hangers Heavy Duty - Oil Rubbed Bronze Roller Shower Curtain Rings - Set of 12 RollerRingsTM and a toilet paper holder Moen DN6708ORB Danbury Paper Holder, Oil Rubbed Bronze for the same price (including the cost of shipping!) that I would have had to pay at Lowe's for the curved bar alone! It's as if I've received the other items for free! Highly recommended.

High marks for both form and function
We did a major bathroom tear down and remodel recently and had to shell out big bucks to obtain all the name brand accessories that belong to the "collection" to match the fancy name brand faucets and fixtures that we purchased for the remodel. Had the name brand faucet manufacturer supplied a curved shower rod to match I probably would have grit my teeth and bought that too...but they didn't so I had to shop around for something close. What I got with the Oil Rubbed Bronze Curved Shower Rod purchased on Amazon is decent quality shower rod that was easy to install AND matches very well with the other ORB accessories in the bathroom. We got the "designer collection" look without the "designer collection" price. Best part though, the curved concept really works. It feels like our bath/shower is so much roomier. I bought this with the suggested curtain hooks. Unlike what some of the other reviews seem to suggest, the shower rod shipped exactly as advertised and didn't include any extra accessories.

WATCH OUT IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN A 60" GAP!
BE AWARE THIS WILL ONLY FIT LESS THAN 60" IF YOU INSTALL ONE BRACKET ON THE WALL, CLIP THE OTHER BRACKET INTO THE POLE, INSTALL THE POLE ON THE BRACKET MOUNTED TO THE WALL, THEN SCREW IN THE BRACKET ON THE OTHER SIDE. Right on the directions it says for 60" to 72" gap, not the advertised 58" to 72". Mine was about 59" and I was able to install by doing the above. If you have a 60" or wider gap you can most likely follow the regular install directions.

It's cheap because it looks cheap
The rod itself looks great and having the ability to screw it into the wall as opposed to a compression fitting is what I was looking for. The pictures do not closely show the actual brackets used to attach to the wall and that's the part I have a problem with. Most shower rods with this style have a cover to go over the end pieces so you don't see the screw heads, these don't. There's also a silver spring push button (compression button) that you use to attach the rod to the bracket. These are affordable, but given all the five star reviews I thought they'd be finished a little better than what they were. I don't see the appeal of buying an oil rubbed bronze finish to see a cheap silver button and silver screw heads in the wall. For another $5-10 I'd go for something a little nicer.I intended to return it but shipping was going to run $18.00 so at that cost I'll keep them (bought 2).

Color way off
Terrible color, had a purple hue. Not oil rubbed bronze like the rest of the items.

Measure first
I would have been easy had the length of my shower been the required minimum but it was about 2 inches too short so I had to pound the thing together to shorten it. It turned out alright in the end but I suggest you double check the measurements before you purchase. Pounding is difficult and the ends bent under the pressure.
