Its a Winner!
This light is super bright! Its takes the lead on the brightest led work light I have used to date. For only having 8 small smd leds it really outperforms. It puts out zero heat and its very compact to fit in tight areas of work. I do not mind the cord and prefer not to worry about charging batteries. The magnetic hook uses strong neodymium magnets. I recommend this and I am planning on purchasing another.

Good light
Very nice and very bright, also I dropped it many times and no issue. The two magnets are strong and very convenient. I got three and I will buy few more before they got discontinued.

Excellent light but not robust enough
For almost 2 years now I have used this as my primary work light in my home garage. As a work light it performs great. Bright, almost too bright on the high setting. Sleek, so it can get in to small spaces well. The magnets are strong and convenient. They make it easy to keep in most positions under a car and easy to grab with one hand (no need to unhook, just pull). Best designed light I've ever used.BUT it does not hold up well. Any drop light must be able to handle the rough environment of a garage, including falls - especially when it is held up by a magnet! Step on the cord and down it goes. After about 6 months the light shield started getting very scratched from being pushed into small spaces, not a big deal but it did make for more glare. After about a year the top magnet started pulling off the light (glue failed). OK, we glued it back on and it would stay for a while before it pulled off again. After 18 months the top of the shield (the area holding the top magnet) cracked and eventually broke off, making the light essentially useless till we could glue/tape it back on. At this point the shield is broken in several pieces, held together by thin strips of duct tape that we have to re-do every couple of months. It still works well, but I'm not sure how much longer we can keep it going. As good as the light is, I'm not sure I want to spend $25/yr for it.Other suggestions for improvements: Add a third magnet to the FRONT of the handle by the switch. This would allow you to do things like put it on the bottom of the car with the light aiming UP into the engine compartment. I need this more often than you might expect. Also, add a PLUG!

Extremely bright on both settings
I purchased this in January of 2018 and use it almost daily in my professional handyman business. It has a dual brightness setting, two strong magnets (one built into the handle and a removable swivel hook on the end), and a very long extension cord. I have dropped it numerous times and am always surprised that it keeps working. The negative issues are a very stiff extension cord that retains memory and the lack of a receptacle on the handle. If the manufacturer would start using a flexible extension cord, especially in cold weather, and a built-in receptacle in the handle, this would be a perfect work light.

Works OK
Great size and light output. BUT, the cord is very stiff and doesn't allow for fine tuning the direction of the light.

Let there be light !
Great light for auto or inside repairs in dark spaces. Very bright and not hot to the touch like the old style work lights. Very pleased with its performance. Seems very durable as well. Recommended by Family Handyman.

The Search CONTINUES for a Great LED Shop Light
UPDATE - Nov 11, 2018: The cord situation has gone from bad to worse with the onset of cold weather in Northern Nevada. Even after leaving the cord totally straightened in the warm sun - before it got cold - it retains its kinks from shipping configuration. Now that the cord is cold, it is really impossible to straighten, remains in a tightly kinked, spring like mass, and is a danger for tripping. I have used a hundred different shop lights as a professional mechanic (retired) and have never come across one like this. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!********* ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW **************************8I have used this light for a couple of months now, and I have serious misgivings with it.PROS: It's very bright and seems well built. The magnet-hook feature can be useful.CONS: The worst feature of this light is its VERY STIFF, spring-like CORD. The cord alone nearly earned this light a 1-star rating. This cord is so stiff that it inhibits being able to place the light - and maintain placement - in positions favorable to illuminate my work space. And this is during warm weather! This light's asset of being very bright becomes a real detriment when it shifts on its own to glare in my eyes. I added some black tape to the backside of the lens tube to narrow the illuminated area a little. Also, this light body is VERY LONG and thusly creates issues when working in close spaces. Finally, while the magnet and hook system is fairly functional at times, the magnets are very strong and are exceptionally good at latching onto tools and fasteners in tight quarters, a serious drawback when a tool gets inadvertently snagged in a hard to reach place.RECOMMENDATIONS-CONCLUSIONS: This light has some good features and has the best build quality of the LED work lights I have tried so far. I'll keep it around for certain work situations, but it frequently does not work well for me as I am often working in tight quarters. I would advise that anyone considering buying this light to remember that the cord is extremely stiff and that the light body is 14" long, excluding the hook.
