Great for matting.
Worked as intended! Used it for connecting double matting. Strong stuff. Easy to work with. Wish it came with more.

Perfect for matting artwork
This is perfect for taping artwork to a backer board and then placing a mat board over it for framing. It is archival, so it will protect your artwork and keep it from yellowing where the tape is.

You only need to use three pieces to make a hinge that does not damage the integrity of the item
When you have an antique water color you need to be able to hinge it to a acid free backer board.

Nice tape, but not too strong
This is the tape I use to matte all my small prints from 4×6in to 11×14in. It's great, super clean, acid free, easy to use tape that doesn't damage my prints. However, you would definitely need a different tape than this one to hinge any print that had more weight to it because it does *not* tape very strong. I tried to hinge a 16×20 original watercolor painting made on 300lb Arches paper to a 20×24in matte, and it simply would not stick strong enough to stay up more than a few minutes. But as a tape for light, small works, it's great.

Very weak adhesive
Good product for the money, but there is next to no adhesive. I apply it overlapped, side-by-side, or singly, but I can just brush my hand over it after rubbing it down and it will pop loose with no trouble. If I were to use it to clean off dirt, it still wouldn't hold anything.Last week I had an emergency job where I needed to use a special dye to color it black. When the dye had set, the adhesive was completely gone and the dye had faded to gray. I was out of time, so I had to use pva glue. And even that didn't hold.

Linen tape
It is basically a linen strip with a single tacky side intended to be applied on flat surfaces and concealed by a mat. Good quality, it just didn’t suit my purpose.

Keep it on hand
This is one of those things that you don't know that you need until you need it. ;)
