I waited before leaving a review, b/c I wanted to try this out for awhile first. I've had this for approximately 3/4 months now.You know, I have always noticed that they put weighted things over you at the dentist's office, etc (weighted padding) & I get it. I do feel more relaxed when they do this & didn't know why for a long time.It helps with the release of the hormone oxytocin & the neurotransmitter serotonin. These are both very calming & inhibitory (they are synergistic together) and quite helpful if you have anxiety, etc. I am around 130 lbs, so i purchased the 15lb twin size (it has a weight guide on here) ...I didn't really care about how it looked b/c I was trying it out (and i'm the only one using it, not my husband) - With these factors in mind, this was the best price I found. (always shop around, b/c it changes on amazon alot & know what you are looking for) - but I wasn't willing to dole out 50 bucks or more for something that I may not use, yet i didn't want it to fall apart after a few uses either. This one is very solid for the price.I have found this very helpful for relaxation. It has not cured insomnia for me, but it helps me to relax so I can move toward the sleep phase. In this regard, it's a very helpful aid for "relaxation". I wrap myself up in it and use a calming mind app..Again, very helpful. I take some natural supplements too, but I feel all that all of these components work together to induce sleep and I have actually been getting a full night's of sleep here & there. (due know, i was also on benzo's for years as a sleep aid) - I might have more issues with insomina b/c of that. (you may only need the blanket to lull off) When i got off of benzos, it seemed to exasperate my insomnia, so I needed some natural tools; i've had a long history and battle when it comes to insomnia) I may not get a full night every night, but I'm much closer to a regular pattern than I have ever been since ditching benzos. A good weighted blanket has been helpful for me in this regard.Whatever is in it is very granular, so i don't feel any beads or anything..it reminds me of how a stress ball would feel...(squishy)...The material has held up fine after using this nightly for months and i do not get over heated. It probably helps with overall circulation too. (in being that it's weighted all over)I really recommend this if you have anxiety or issues with relaxation/insomnia. One of my kids keeps trying to snatch if from me, so I'm going to get another one for him. (preteen boy with adhd/anxiety too)To recap: a weighted blanked helps to relax you by inducing BOTH the hormone oxytocin & the neurotransmitter serotonin. (Research it); make sure you get the right weight for your body weight. (if you try it out) - 20lbs would have been too heavy for me (smothering maybe)..15lbs is definitely ideal for my body weight, b/c it feels heavier than it sounds. I was kind of surprised at how heavy 15lbs felt.

I love this blanket so much. I was worried it would be too hot, but it's honestly not bad. Also, it improves my sleep. Sometimes, I wake several times per night. While I still wake with the blanket, I have an easier time falling back asleep. It limits my ability to toss and turn and it's incredibly soothing. I don't write a lot of reviews, but this blanket is so awesome that I felt obligated to provide feedback. I bought another one for my son. I also bought the duvet cover (the cotton one) because I worry about putting the duvet in my washing machine. The cover is very soft and the tabs make it easy to use. Love the set. Love sleeping with a weighted blanket. Wish I'd found this sooner. I've tried many things to improve my sleep. This is one of the few things that has actually helped.

Fast arrival, delivery. Good quality. i haven't been able to figure out how to wash it yet... hmmm.... each pocket is filled with gravel i think. not sand. not lead. but something ...duhha... But I'm super looking forward to sleeping under it tonight. everyone I talk to says they have one !!! why didn't anyone ever tell me about this great idea / gift ?!! Well this is the ultimate. i Just can't wait. Like the one review stated : We purchased the blanket for our daughter for Christmas. She suffers from anxiety and sometimes has trouble sleeping because of it. So far she really likes it. It went on her bed right after she opened it. I am thinking about getting one for myself but I worry about getting too hot. This has not been an issue for our daughter; she is always cold and she says the blanket helps contain her body heat.The material is really soft. It is 15 pounds so it really isn’t lightweight, but it is a weighted blanket so I would expect it to be heavy.Glad we got a cover for it (soft as well) due to our cats; they really like it too as evidenced by all the cat hair they leave behind.One of the selling qualities was the washable part. Hopefully we won’t have a need to wash it. I am not sure how my washer would do with the weight.The only downside is the pockets settle and we have to shake it occasionally to redistribute them. I would assume this is a drawback of any weighted blanket. I really like the smaller pockets. I'm super exited to try it.

The weighted blanket is soft and breathable. Doesn't feel overwhelmingly heavy when your using it. The beads are sewn into little squares making sure they don't bunch up which is a nice feature. Was a gift for my husband and he loves it way better then other cheaply made ones where all the bead got stuck on one side. Have had for over a year and he still uses it every night.

This blanket was recommended to me by a friend who has owned one for a while and I’m so glad that I decided to get one for myself because I absolutely love it! Admittedly it took a night or two for me to get used to the weight. Having a 15-pound of weight evenly distributed on top of me all through the night was a bizarre feeling at first. On the succeeding nights, that’s when I noticed the benefits of using it. I've been sleeping under it for a few weeks now, and I can tell you that it has helped me fall asleep faster, wake up less frequently throughout the night, and feel more rested during the day. The blanket itself is well made in a soft cotton material. It has small diamond pockets that prevent the weighted beads from dispersing unevenly. The size that I got is 48’ x 72’, which is the size of a larger throw blanket, smaller than the queen size blanket that I am used to, but large enough to span your bed as a normal blanket rather than only personal-sized. All in all, the Hypnoser weighted blanket is a great option because it is breathable and evenly weighted. The quality seems to be excellent. The cover feels so good to the touch and the sewing on the blanket segments and pockets seems secure. I am very pleased with this purchase - It has markedly improved the quality of my sleep. I can say that this blanket is something that has made me look forward to going to bed at night after a long, tiring day. I will be buying again because of its quality and competitive price.

I’ve had this blanket for a few months now and love it! For years I folded a very heavy blanket in two to get the weight I wanted, but that did not work well in the summer and it did not mold to my body. Though a bit warm, I was able to use all summer with just a sheet and the weighted blanket. I wish I got one years ago, but so happy I have one now!! I find the weight even, it’s quiet (I don’t hear anything), stitching is good and no issues with “leaking”. It’s like sleeping in a gentle hug, very comforting!

Update: after posting this review with an initial score of 1 star, Hypnoser contacted my promptly and offered to make things right. In hindsight, after I noticed the beads leaking from a hole somewhere, I should have contacted them first to let them know instead of just returning through amazon. If there are issues with this blanket, make sure to contact them first as their customer service is great. Would have no issue purchasing this again for the price.Seemed like a great blanket when I got it.. however after the second night noticed tiny beads on the bed. The blanket had a hole somewhere in it and was leaking the glass beads all over. Returned and bought a more expensive brand name one

I would have given this a 5 star as i really liked it and even thought its probably psychological, it worked for me BUT after like 25 uses (i didn't use it every day but instead saved it for when i wasnt feeling well) it is spilling on my bed - so bummed!Edit: I reached out to the seller to see if they could do anything about this and they have the best customer service i have ever experienced - they are totally sending me a new one which is amazing
