These are much more sturdy than your cheapo plastic spoons. Either one has their purpose, it's just that for an ice cream social I needed something that wouldn't break while people tried to eat their ice cream. This worked great. And...since they say compostable on the spoon handle, I didn't have the naysayers saying we shouldn't have had an ice cream social with plastic. Say what??? Maybe they wanted to wash everything.

As I'm trying to eliminate all the petroleum based plastics I use that I can (microplastics be gone!), I decided to try these corn-based "plastic" spoons.So far, I've been very pleased. They're just as sturdy (if not more so) as the plastic spoons I used to use plus are aesthetically pleasing and a good size. All in all, zero complaints... plus the added benefit of reducing the petroleum based plastics in my life.These are made from corn -- arenewable bioplastic plant-based material.

Good value and environmentally conscious. These forks are sturdy and not at all flimsy.

Love these. Why buy single use plastic when these are just as good if not better since no hard plastic edges. Wooden eco friendly forks/spoons are okay but not reusable. Haven’t thrown any out yet since you can wash and reuse…

I didn't give these 5 stars because they are just a little bit on the flimsy side. So, their sturdiness could use a little work.BUT I love that they are compostable which has made it so we have purchased this regularly.No, they do not hold up to hard pressure (imagine pushing down with a fork on a tough piece of meat) but for soups, regular cooked veggies, etc they work flawlessly.Considering the fact that these provide relief for landfills, I think they are great. It's a product that is well on it's way to doing wonderful things and I expect it to just keep getting better and better.

I’ve used their spoons, forks, and knives. They all hold up very well.

Used these for a barbecue and was impressed by how they held up-quite sturdy and the knife actually cuts!! Highly recommend!

These came just as described. Perfect for what we needed. Love that they are compostable!

These are exactly what I was looking for!! If you're picky about your spoons like I am, try these ones. The shape of both the bowl and the handle are just right and the texture is slightly matte but not stick to your lip gritty lol.These are so nice, that when I'm eating something water soluble, I'm actually rinsing it off and reusing it again later. Will definitely buy these again. Now I just need to find their forks and knives haha
