It's a well known name, and this kit is a great start to your collection.Years ago I painted with testors enamels, but came back to minis recently and discovered the new paints and thinning processes, and it's worlds different.Great paints, thin them for good coverage and no lost detail, but definitely mix them well for good reliable coverage, a Shaker, or for me a muscle massage device works great

These colors are beautiful and I have ordered 3 more sets from Valljeo. If you're into 3D printing or Resin printing these paint them so well. You only have to use a small amount of paint to get maximum coverage. The quality is just top notch these are more expensive obviously but it's totally worth it. I have hundreds of craft acrylic paints I have tried and these are the only ones you need 1 coat the craft paints you need multiple.

Another great paint set from Vallejo, this first purchase for me from their Game Color product line did not disappoint. The 'leather' half of the set, made up primarily of browns, tans, reds and 'B&W,' slid onto my minis and bases with the same (or better) creamy smooth and effortless application as the wonderful and more numerous Model Color (MC) paints. There's a nice color selection for leathers and hides included already, but for any custom shade you might decide you need, you'll be happy to find these GC paints mix every bit as easily as do their MC counterparts. I'm not so skilled yet that I actively need to consider blending as a big criterion for which paints I choose to use, but as it turns out, these GC paints do blend easily and thoroughly with the other GC leather colors, and almost certainly all of the other paints in the GC line as well. Two of the leather colors do double duty as flesh tones, one an off-white shade called Elfic Flesh, and the other a rich sort of chocolatey medium brown labeled Dark Fleshtone. Also included in the set are two inks (not washes), Black and Sepia, which are great for what I call 'lining in,' as well as for other detailed shading work on faces, leather, metals, other items and other GC and MC colors. The remaining colors from this Vallejo Leather & Metal Game Color set include a nice selection of 7 paints representing Bright Bronze, Glorious Gold, Polished Gold, Tinny Tin (almost black), Gunmetal, Chainmail Silver, and Silver, listed in order from darkest to lightest. I've not used the metal colors yet as much as the leather colors, but both are of the usual high quality I've come to expect from Vallejo, and I recommend them without reservation.

This is how my “new” set of “unused” Vallejo paint arrived today. This was supposed to be from the newer line of paints, not a variety pack of what was available sitting around the floor. It looks like the previous owner swapped out the old crappy paint for the new ones. This is a mess.

These are great paints that come in a vast selection of hues. Half the price of citadel and just as nice

The offered colors nicely complement my existing ones.They do take some getting used to tough, as they are more watery than my current range, especially on a wet pallette.Manufacturer's box tore open during shipment, but the individual bottles were still safe inside Amazon's box.
