Woodstock DCB37 Encore Collection Bronze Chimes of Earth Windchime

Far from noise, this set is tuneful. Just moved into a new build house by a main road and these chimes bring an air of tranquility to a sometimes noisy environment. We have them just outside the kitchen window so we can hear them, but they are subtle enough not to annoy neighbours, though to he honest this vs traffic noise is no contest even if they could. Beautiful colour (we went for bronze), superbly made and big enough not to have a tinkly tone. Absolutely recommended by us and will be looking for more chimes as the range are tuned to complement each other.

Bought these "Earth" chimes back in 2007, so Amazon informs me. They've lasted incredibly well. They're hung outside the back door, only partially protected by an overhang. The bronzed tubes have been well strung - never had to replace either the top separator or the windcatcher. I think I've maybe oiled the wood once or twice in the last nine years.The sound? Mellow, relaxed, calm. The effect on me is grounding; stabilising.Everybody who hears them comments on how lovely the harmonics are, so I know it's not just me who appreciates their tonal qualities.On a breezy day when all the tubes are singing, the harmonies are still in perfect cadence. These chimes have been tuned to ring, not clang.On a quieter day, maybe only one or two tubes are involved, a quiet, confident, melodic dialogue.These chimes are incapable of a jangling cacophony or an irritating chinkling.If you're thinking of a set of chimes, but want soothing, rounded, mellow harmony, and not chinkling or hysterical jangling, I recommend "Earth."

Got these for my Mum after we went to a garden and she was fascinated by a quiet tinkling sound. We located the source and the garden owner whom we spoke to afterwards, said they had got theirs (which were very small ones) from US but couldn't remember the name. After searching online, I found the Woodstock website where they had every chime accompanied by a short audio playback of what each sounded like, which was incredibly useful as I didn't want a sharp or irritating tinkly sound. On arrival, I was scared these were going to be too big, but once in Mum's garden, and after trying several locations, they have proved to be quietly unobtrusive (sound-wise) whilst being noticeably relaxing, the tones and notes being softly low and soothing. I have treated the wood parts with lemon oil each year, but certainly suggest that this should be twice a year to properly preserve the wood. The chimes themselves seem to have been fine with a yearly soft cloth wipe inside and outside the tubes (a bit fidley but worth it). One of the best and most pleasing presents I've bought and Mum loves them .... so do I, and if I had a garden I'd have some too !!!

Nothing to dislike. These brands of winchimes are the best. They sound lovely unlike cheaper ones. Prooer musical tones. I have a bigger one too and they last.

Absolutely beautiful wind chimes! They were a Christmas gift for my mum who absolutely loves them, after finding the right sounding one online due to not being able to see and hear them in person due to COVID, this was the most beautiful and harmonic sounding one. Beautiful earthy tones, perfectly in tune and chime wonderfully together. Really good value for money and fantastic quality. Really sturdy. I think I may now order one for myself to compliment my garden. Could not recommend enough!

First came across woodstock chimes in a Japanese garden in Cornwall- pardoning the complete contradiction there - I was captivated by them. It was a small set, may have been Pluto but I'd never heard anything as randomly beautiful. Arriving back at the exit there was a shop selling these chimes - being the tight fisted person I am, I was not going to part with £20 for something I can buy at the local poundland. It's attitudes like that that cause you to miss out in life. I haven't got money to throw around but you can also wait forever and still not get it. It's been over a year since I heard those chimes - they also had Earth, Neptune and Saturn.I bought Earth from Amazon for my mother's birthday. I had to try them out to see if they worked before I wrapped them up. A thought crossed my mind that I should keep them instead and give her a few flowers (whose to know?) I screwed up. My mother loves them. I'm going to have to go for the three for our house - Earth, Neptune and Pluto. There's also another range that Woodstock do called Magical Mystery - out of that range the one that really does it for me is Space Oddessy. But for now - I'm buying the 3 for next year for MY garden

My second Woodstock chime.Well constructed, beautifully finished, and the sound is exactly as on the recording.Deep, well balanced and melodic. Very calming sound that is soothing and not loud - so although you'll hear it your neighbours won't be irked by it!

It should be 5 star as it's lovely, a beautiful sounding chime and does not disappoint.It loses a star because the first one I ordered had one tube not attached, the string had either broken or was not attached properly in the first place. A replacement was promptly dispatched but I think that the cost of this wind-chime is not reflected in the (non) care taken with attaching the tubes. The one that came as a replacement still looks as if the strings were attached in a hurry - I was surprised (perhaps I shouldn't have been) to see that it was made in China!.I hope it lasts.

Hace años cuando compré mi primera casa, busqué unas campanas de viento, y por casualidad en una tienda oí el sonido de unas pequeñas de Woodstock Chimes, y a pesar del precio 3 veces más caro que las demás, no me pude resistir. Ahora he comprado éstas para regalar, pero no he podido evitar revisarlas y escucharlas antes de que vayan a otro hogar. Son absolutamente delicadas, nada estridente, todo melodía. Incluso la tambien prestigiosa marca QMT tiene el sonido Earth, y yo no aprecio diferencia. Lo único es que son para exterior, pero NO para intemperie, ya que la madera y los hilos no creo que soporten lluvia y sol. Creo que voy a mirar las que son todo de metal para hacerme yo otro regalo próximamente.

The media could not be loaded. Do you hate the brain piercing resonation of small chimes that tinkle and ring? Yes? What you need are these wind chimes. Ah, a rich and soft dong they have to them. It IS probably the only time you can enjoy a soft dong. These lovely chimes, which I’ve affectionately named ‘my dongs’, make pulling weeds rather soothing. Despite my constant use of the word dong, they really class up the place. The only draw back is that they are heavy enough that it takes a good breeze to move them. Make sure you have an open area to really hear their dong song.
