If these were connected to tv via headphone jack, would I still have control of bass/treble?
T10 Multimedia Speakers could some one tell me if it is one head phone jack plug that splits to both speakers
can you hook these up to TV's also?
No power is coming. From my plug _ #is there a fuse in it and if so how do you access it ?

Was going to give a 4 star ! but that would have been a bit harsh

Great speakers for a bargain price at £28 with free delivery. As I have a hi end hifi which is all separates and my good lady was complaining that is not easy to operate and she never has the chance to listen to any music these days, instead of me buying another cheaper easy to operate all in one hifi like in the olden days I decided to get these as all of my music is on the hard drive anyway. I am glad I did as the sound of them is equality as good as most of the mass produced hifi's you buy in places like currys / comet etc.The sound is top notch clear midrange and treble with plenty of detail. Not a lover of the tone only control normally I would rather a separate bass and treble but I have to say it is really good. Simple to adjust if the recording or music needs a bit more clarity or if its sounds a bit rough. There is plenty of bass for such a small speaker but not overblown, its nice and tight but has plenty of relex port low end too. I have also owned a acoustic energy aego m which was loud but this is a better over all sound and a fraction of the money. They look stunning next to my gloss black laptop and are just the right size on our desk.My partner loves them she says they look real classy and the sound they produce is amazing, she even said they sound better than the £900 ProAc standmount speakers I own ( but I can tell you honestly they are pretty impressive but they DONT come anywhere near! Sorry ).I really like them a lot, they go nice and loud have a great sound quality, they are also well built with a weighty feel. The only thing is their cases are made of plastic and I find plastic speakers can sound a little plasticy and hollow but they are no where near as bad as some, I am really being picky here cos I am a fussy audiophile. If they had been made of solid wood they may have been better but I cant fault them really and at this money and we are delighted with them. I almost bought a set of behringer m16 studio monitor until I came across these in one of their reviews where a owner said these were better, so I went for these and I'm glad I did now.NOTE ADDED 21 feb 2012Just for you to know I have sold them on now. I standby what I said about them they are a bargain but I got tiresome of having them on the desktop ( which is also used as our dining table ), they are not huge by any means but their presence and us shuffling them around all the time just got on our nerves in the end. We are looking for something a bit lower profile and discrete now but would love to get the same sound. May look at one minirig (minirigs.co.uk) next but they 89 quid delivered and they are also only available in silver at the moment, it has to be black for me.

Superb speakers for those on a budget.

I was on a tight budget as I needed some speakers for the downstairs computer. They didn't have to be loud, or powerful, as I have a hi-fi for that. They just had to be decent. The previous pair that I gave to a charity shop were manufactured by Logitech. The reason I got rid of those was AC hum. I looked at the logitech reviews in this price range and quite a few mentioned AC hum.Whilst still made of plastic I must say Creative's build quality is far superior than Logitech at this price point. These speakers are quite heavy and produce a nice even sound. Most importantly they don't produce any interference sound or AC hum even if you crank them to max when not playing any sound. They are, silent. This is important to me as I can very OCD about trivial things like background noise, it bugs me no end.The dials on the speakers feel sturdy, and the rotary operation is smooth. The Tone controls are only useful for late night listening, as all they do is really shift the whole sound dynamic envelope towards the top end (or towards the bottom end) at the expense of the bottom end (and vice versa). If you're hoping to turn the tone down to get more bass, sure, but you'll lose the top end. However, the ability to dampen the bottom end whilst enhancing the top end is perfect if you don't want to disturb the rest of the house but still wish to hear voices clearly. (This was another reason I didn't want a 2.1 system. In fact, I wouldn't spend less than £250 on any speaker set that has a sub woofer, there is simply no point - go into a hi-fi store and ask for a demonstration of a £300 model, and see why). The mid range is good, the high range is good, and the bass is acceptable for a speaker of this size and price. These aren't reggae speakers by any stretch of the imagination. They simply aren't designed for dance music due to their size. It's a matter of physics at this size of speaker, and I don't care how much you spend you simply won't get the bass frequencies required with a driver cone this size, ever! If you want to listen to reggae or dance, I would suggest getting a pair of bookshelf speakers with a wooden cabinet, but be prepared for them to take up a LOT of space on your desk. For £30 that I paid, I am more than happy with these speakers. They are silent unless they are producing sound, and the sound they do produce is remarkably clear up until the half way mark. After that you start introducing distortion harmonics. But then, as any audiophile will tell you, you don't run your amp past 6 out 10 anyway. In the same way you wouldn't drive your car at it's maximum limit, if you want to go faster, you need a faster car, but you still can't go around flooring it.They look better in real life than the studio shots give them credit. They look more expensive than their price would indicate, and they certainly look better than logitech's efforts. My one and only gripe about these speakers, is the green LED light. It's very bright, and green. I would prefer it to be red, as that isn't as noticeable as green, and I would prefer it to be dimmer or the ability to be switched off. However, at this price, I wouldn't expect that. Did I tell you about my OCD? I'll probably rectify this issue with some black tape. And thats about it. Would I recommend them? Yes. And I'm OCD!

Creative Inspire T10 Multimedia speakers

Needed these to act as part of docking station setup for tablet style PC.Separately mains-powered. Signal is by old-style 3.5mm audio jack (rather than USB).Seems a good compromise between desktop size/bulk versus sound quality, and price. I'd spent quite a long time looking at options before going for these. They're solidly built, with a heavy, quality feel to them. The sound quality seems good, and the volume control on them lets you tweak their volume level to work with your setup.A bit pricy for what they are these days, but I'm pleased with them so far. Presume longevity will be good .......
