Watercolour paper pad
Good quality paper, great value for money, easy to use, really absorbant watercolour paper pad. The size is ideal for small paintings by both adults and children

Great for me (but I can't promise I know what I'm doing!)
Now I have to start by saying that I am an extreme novice at painting of any kind so was really happy to find this low cost paper marketed for children. This paper doesn't absorb the water too fast, and allows me to blend paint on the page. It hasn't become bitty or shred as of yet. HOWEVER, I really do have to stress that I am extremely novice at this I've never used any other paper, paints or brushes. I'm aware that I may not be using enough water for blending and this may be why my paper is holding up. I've taken a skillshare class today but at no point did they say how much water I'm supposed to be using 🤷♀️ I'll endeavour to experiment with this obviously.

It’s a decent sketch pad
The media could not be loaded. I’ve come to realise that’s I need a higher mg grade of paper for my watercolour paintings. Although I’ve produced some lovely art in this book, with being a beginner, I’ve used to much water as I’ve painted and the paper grade just couldn’t hold the water very well. This results in the paper drying and raising in places where the waters sat. I think this grade is better for pencil drawing and light watercolours maybe with watercolour pencils. The paper is lovely and smooth and easy to work with it just wasn’t the right grade for my style of painting …lots of layering of water and details.I’d buy this brand again just a higher mg 300-350mg so that I can have my paintings dry flat not bumpy.

Rubbish for watercolour, good for pencil
This paper is absolute trash when it comes to using it for watercolour painting. It buckles like nobodies business to the point where you get pools of paint gathering on the surface.HOWEVER, for the price this us probably my favourite paper to use for graphite and colouring pencils so if that's what you're wanting it for then crack right on!

Very basic watercolour papers for practice
This watercolour paper is ok for practice and maybe for kids, but it’s no good for the actual painting. Even as a beginner I quickly realised I need a better watercolour paper at least 25% cotton if I want to do a decent painting. So, for me, absolutely not worth it.
