Just the job for a moulting yellow labrador
I have often thought of purchasing a Furminator in the past and now that we have a nearly two year old yellow lab, shedding his golden hairs in piles onto my kitchen floor, I recently got round to purchasing one. I am really glad that I did as he actually enjoys his sessions, and brings his favourite Mr Snowman toy to me for a bit of grooming for him too! I don't do 10 minute sessions as shown in the advertising but find that short sessions during his daily routine brushing does the trick and greatly reduces the problem. I like the weight of the tool that helps it to glide gently through the coat without using any pressure and the ejector button helps to release the golden bundles of undercoat easily from the teeth. For use on a Labrador I would highly recommend this product.

Miracle brush!
Sometimes you need to take notice of the fact that there are such a phenomenal number of good reviews for a product. This is one such time!I have a Kelpie who is a 365 days-a-year shedder, and the rolling dog hair clouds on my tiled floor had reached monumental crisis point this autumn/winter. Is it just our dog or is this a particularly bad year for shedding?!A groomer we know pointed us at this particular device, which we used within half an hour of receiving. You would never know that we ever brushed this dog (with something ineffective, evidently) if you had seen the fistfuls of loose hair that this furminator brush took off him. And since then? Well, the dog hair tumbleweed has stopped. A few loose hairs but no longer the need to specifically vacuum up dog hairs multiple times a day.So I therefore declare this brush a miracle. The dogs coat also looks beautiful too, since all the dull looking undercoat hairs have been removed. He is glossy, silky, and handsome.

and none have ever been particularly great. The FURminator gets the job done
Does a phenomenal job on my two BHLs (Big Hairy Labrador). We've been through quite a few different brushes over the years, and none have ever been particularly great. The FURminator gets the job done. It absolutely will not stop until all the loose hair has been removed from your animal.Quality build too; very solid bit of kit and feels like it'll last a good long while. My only problem is what to do with the mountain of hair this removes! Might have to start stuffing pillows or make a carpet or something!

Works beautifully
The effect of using this furminator brush on my long haired miniature dachshund has been pretty impressive. We brush her regularly, but when she's moulting the fur still seems to come off everywhere - and she has such fine fur the bits she sheds seem to tangle really easily in her coat. This brush seems to pick up more fur than anything else, without causing pain or distress, so there's no more coughing up of fur balls, or behind ear knotting, and far less fur comes off on clothes, furniture and carpets.

Works better than anything tried before
Was dubious this would be any better than the brushes and comb we already have but our Lab sheds an enormous amount all year round and the hair is everywhere which is unfair on my husband who is allergic. Not only does our dog enjoy the furminator when he is not keen on the other methods, we get a bag full of hair pretty quickly. The furminator really does grip the hair coming out so you can release it into a bag. This is required after every stroke as it only holds so much. It may loosen more hair but not trap it. For me it was worth the money and will save on vacuum bags and reduce the daily vacuuming. I was worried by the very adverse review so used it gently. No signs of baldness or irritation to the skin. This may vary between dog breeds. Worth a try.

Essential
As soon as I took a look at my Pineranian's coat I knew she'd need a specific kind of brush.£20 seems a lot for a brush I know, but after reading the reviews I decided it was worth a shot and I'm really glad I did. She's got quite short hair but it's dense. She's so tiny as well, you'd think barely any hair would come off. Wrong. I use it daily or every other day and the difference in her coat is amazing. It looks and feels so much better. The brush is so well made as well, sturdy and ergonomic, easy to use and clean. Well worth the money it costs.Really, really glad I didn't let the price tag stop me because it is most certainly worth it.

I wish I'd discovered this years ago!
My dog is a Hungarian Viszla cross who molts a lot during the summer. My cleaner told me about this as she thought I already had one. First brush the amount of hair that came out was amazing. My dog loves being brushed with it too!

It really works
Having a new rescue dog who is shorthaired, I couldn't believe how her hair was causing more of a problem than my previous German shepherd dogs. It's like having a million eyelashes in the house every day.My previous grooming tools were not effective. This one does seem to be doing the job and is easy to use.
