Wow... wow... wow!
The media could not be loaded. I can't say I'm not already loving these after just a couple of hours of wearing them and walking around! They fit brilliantly (I always use my EU size for any shoes and go off of that - size 39) and they are SO comfortable, supportive and lightweight. These are fantastic quality leather and I'm glad I finally took a leap to get this brand name - great value for money! I had Docs years ago (er... 28 years ago) and these are just as wonderful, comfortable and fashionable as back then. These will be shoes getting worn with jeans, work trousers and dresses, as they fit the bill for smart and casual. ❤️ For this type of leather (patent leather), vaseline as polish is great for keeping the shoes in longer service, so I will be babying these shoes.

Great product, The Bouncing Souls rule
Great product.Marked as fit as expected because I had tried a few pairs of DMs on the high street so that when I ordered I would get the correct size, although this item was shipped with a returns slip should I need it. Something to keep in mind is that DMs are maybe on the smaller side of a 7 as I'm usually a 6.5 in unisex shoes, but these were marked with a W so perhaps are sized differently to the mens. The bouncing sole is unbelievably comfortable, no aches or pains in my ankle or foot arches which I often get from flatter shoes. So far no awkward breaking in period either, regardless of how you want to wear your boots long term i.e., loose laced and grungy or straight-laced punk-style, wear them laced snugly while you break them in otherwise you'll be getting blisters like no-ones business. The finish on the boot is almost smooth but it alternates between matte and patent finishes giving it a metallic sheen without being garish or hard to clean. Absolutely perfect have worn them everyday since they arrived!

Love them!
These boots are amazing, absolutely beautiful quality leather and stitching, really shiny and very cool. I thought they would rub my feet at first and require 'weariing in' around the house, but, I have to say, although they were a little stiff they are totally comfortable already. (I wore them indoors for a few hours first). I don't think you will be disappointed in these practical and yet stylish boots, I wear them with everything. The price is excellent too, when compared to high street stores where they retail at £90+.

For anyone confused about sizing
First of all, these boots all seemed to be available in both a size 7 and size 7D, the size 7's being significantly more expensive and mostly sold out. I've really wanted a pair of patent DM's for ages but wasn't sure what the difference was between a 7 and 7D. I wondered if the D was a width fitting and I was concerned about this because I have very narrow feet. I searched the internet for some guidance on sizing and found very little. It seems to be that there are a lot of confused people out there when it comes to this issue. I was able to establish however that Doctor Martens themselves do not make a size 7D fitting so this must be something particular to Amazon. In the end, I decided to take a chance on the 7D in the knowledge that I could return them if they didn't fit. To my relief they arrived and were merely a standard size 7 - no mention of a 'D' anywhere on the boot or the packaging. There was no discernable difference whatsoever and I remain confused as to what the difference might have been (if any). This is something I feel Amazon could be more helpful about addressing as I'm sure there are a lot of people who remain unsure and will therefore err on the side of caution and not risk purchasing the 'D' option. As far as another point of confusion is concerned, as far as I can gather the 1460 is a unisex boot and the 1460w, which is what this is, is designed for women and is therefore slightly narrower at the front. I have very narrow feet and found that 1460w's fit me perfectly as far as the width goes.I would recommend getting your regular size and not being too alarmed if they feel very uncomfortable at first as this is also a very common problem. I have read a lot of reviews about this style being particularly tight across the top of your foot where the tongue of the boot starts and I have to say I have found exactly the same thing. A lot of people think has coincided with production being moved out of the UK and into Thailand. Whatever the reason, I have decided to persevere and break in the boots even if it takes a few months. There are loads of useful tips all over the net for breaking in your Docs. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase, a bargain at £46, and glad I took the chance. However, it would be nice if Amazon could make their sizing choices clearer or at least explain them in proper detail

Dr Martens no longer a British Legend.
Very disappointed, boots ripped next to seam above the heel, contacted legend footwear after reading on doc martens Web site, stating boots have " a lifetime guarantee". Poor after sales service who refused a replacement because of wear and tear. Unfortunately for my daughter it more tear than wear and 4 months is a very short lifetime guarantee. Apparently the boots are now mass produce in China with Quality declining, but I'm sure the profit is more than satisfactory as they weren't worth their £145 price tag.

Great boots - comfy, shiny and just fab!
These are sooooo lovely - just got them this morning - I am 40 something and used to wear DMs loads when I was younger - recently got plantar fasciitis so cant wear heels at the moment (not that I do a lot) - anyhow - love them, need breaking in a bit - but will be great with maxi dresses and leggings etc - and they are so lovely and shiny!! wish I could wear them with work suits but I am guessing work may have something to say about that. Really happy (and I did think I may look like mutton dressed as lamb but even my kids like them on me)
