Edge Mobility System Folding Mirror Therapy Box (Hand/Wrist)

Folds flat for storage, excellent item was recommended for therapy post stroke where one arm doesn't work as well. I believe that moving the "good" arm in the mirror tricks the brain into thinking the "bad" arm is doing ok, and seems to be doing well so far. My Dad's "bad" hand was definitely moving better afterwards. Definitely worth a try and doesn't take up a lot of room.

Mirror box is neat, easy to use and does a great job. Good for assisting stroke victims to improve upper limb movement.

i think it works, and choose to believe in it. for recovery of hand and finger function after a stroke which paralysed left hand, The instructions are terrible and a thorough internet search was not as helpful as I hoped it would be( David Butler in Australia offers the best guidance I found. The manufacturer's You Tube video is doesn't bother to tell you to remove your watch to sustain the illusion, bad in a client base of vulnerable, desperate people) who are mostly elderly and likely still to wear a wristwatch). Mirror box therapy seems proven in relief of chronic pain, but speculative in stroke rehabilitation. As feeling and grasping capability return to the hand, how does one maintain the illusion when touch contradicts visual feedback? I can only maintain the illusion for a few minutes at a time, and any gains are hard to spot. but I stick with it because I believe there have been slight but useful improvements, in hope that it will help in restoring individuation to the left hand fingers. If there's an improvement I usually notice it the next day after the brain has had time during sleep to make sense of the apparently new capability.

I’m a physiotherapist and we needed one in department for people suffering with CRPS. It folds away in the cupboard saving space but also folds out easily and maintains its sturdiness.

This item aided my recovery so very much. EXCELLENT PRODUCT

Won't stay in place if you have any degree of spasticity so hard to use alone and will need assistance to keep the mirror box in place.Apart from this, lovely item.
