Only slight issue is that you need to sort channels manually once tuned and that the aertel teletext doesn't work. Other than this it a great little box. **Q: When I connect it using a scart cable the screen just goes black, even though the box is on. What should I do?** A: I had this SCART problem and was about to send the STB back ... However I thought I'd try changing the output system from RGB to CVBS (whatever that means) and voila! SCART comes to life. Helpful I hope. Jono {17Jul2019} **Q: Can you plug this device into a computer monitor with hdmi ?** A: i dont know - i have only used it on a tv - sorry **Q: instructions not english managed to push record but which button on remote for rec library to watch recordings** A: If you have an external disk, or USB stick connected and formated, you should save your recordings on that. Using the remote, select "List" which will reveal a folder with your recordings in it. Open the folder and select the recording you want. Remember, the recordings don't usually have the programme name, so you will need to be aware of the channel, date and time the recording took place. ## Frequently Bought Together - Freeview HD TV Set Top Box Recorder - August DVB400 - Watch Live, Schedule Over 8 Recordings, Play Pause Rewind in 1080p HDMI High Definition - Black - Avtex 8GB USB Memory Stick For TV Recording - AKORD HDMI to HDMI Cable v1.4 with Gold Plated Connectors 1.5m - Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://trinidad.desertcart.com/products/48437937-august-dvb400-set-top-box-receiver-with-freeview-hd-recorder](https://trinidad.desertcart.com/products/48437937-august-dvb400-set-top-box-receiver-with-freeview-hd-recorder) --- *Product available on Desertcart Trinidad and Tobago* *Store origin: TT* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
