How many cameras can wirelessly sync per camera link device? can you hardwire to sling hub or camera link device? if to hub then wouldnt need link?

You can link up to 10 devices, of which one can be hardwired via HDMI. My last gig was a concert. We hardwired an Panasonic ag-dvx200 via HDMI. I connected 3 iPhone 7’s and a Galaxy for 5 cameras. Keep in mind only 4 of the cameras can be active at any one time. This means you have to activate the other cameras by switching it with one of the four active cameras. Theoretically, if you had 10 cameras connected, 4 cameras would be active and 6 and standby.

Would a wifi extender work with the hub and camera link? it would be nice to be able go a few hundred more feet. if so, which ones?

I am using canon 6d and 70d, if i attached the camera Link to the hdmi , will it able still use the view screen to do the filming? Or have to use iPad

You can still see through the camera view screen for Live View on my Nikon D4 and D5500 so I'll bet you can still see the video on the Canons as well. SlingStudio knows you'll need to position the cameras individually. You'll still need an iPad (or Mac) to connect your cameras to and mix the video feeds (with a 2 sec delay). SlingStudio is an excellent, well thought out video solution for us! We use upscale video cameras, DSLRs and iPhone and they mix together great! Hope that helps.

Can I use my Canon xa20?
