It looks like all parts work off of battery, is this true? Can you use it while charging? Can you use it plugged in?

You can purchase a separate item called the POWERHANDLE EXTENDER FOR POWER8 WORKSHOPS that will allow you to run the devices corded. Otherwise, it is entirly cordless.

How thick a piece of wood does this cut, the demo shows really thin wood. Can it handle 2x4's?

You are not limited at all by the power of the saw, however, since the blade is 5-1/2" in diameter, there is a max of 2" of blade rising above the table.

When there will be WS4E?

The earliest the US versions of the WS4E will be ready to ship is mid-March. Realistically, it will probably be April before they arrive in the US and are available for sale.
