A little fiddly to fit. But worth the money.
Having read through all the feedback here. I really didn't know what to expect. The item is well packaged and nothing was damaged or missing when opened.I started looking at the instructions and they seemed fairly straight forward. Although not as clear as they could have been. I assembled what I could of the fan on the floor. This made is a little easier to attach to the ceiling.A couple of tips.1. When you take down the light fitting you are replacing. Place the cables into a junction box or ceiling rose and mount or push into the ceiling space (connectors could also be used). All you need is a foot or so of 3 core flex to make the connection. I think you need to do this as there is not a lot of space under the cover.2. The lamps required are E14's. A rounded type is best. Candle shaped may be a bit tight.3. When you have made all the connections and are trying to put the cover up. It's very tight for space. I found that if you cut the tie wraps off the cable looms it makes it a bit easier to spread the cables around.4. Read through the instructions many times before attempting to fit. It will help.Finally. When the fan is running I personally don't think it makes that much noise.

Great when its up, its just getting it up!
Once installed it seems to be great. Its working and its quite. But this is by far the most awkward ceiling fan I have ever fitted and I have done a few. There is a ton of cabling, junction/control boxes and other stuff thats got to fit into the small ceiling contact enclosure. You end up having to really cram it all in and force it upwards to get it on the ceiling. The installation booklet also doesnt cover all the steps like how you get the wires through a tube. Also, there are 2 connecting wires. If you find your remote control isnt working properly i.e. you press the button that says turn the light on and it turns the fan on instead, the problem is because those 2 connecting wires have to be in a certain order. ALSO something else the book doesnt state. If you a novice DIY`er who`s not to confident in fitting these DONT buy this. Its a head ache. We only got this specific model because I am tall and I wanted something that doesnt dangle down from the ceiling much.Recommendation to manufacturer, make the ceiling cap bigger! Increase its diameter by 50mm. Forcing cabling in there isnt safe as wires could get pulled out of terminal blocks and crate a fire risk.

Great fan, put a PAIN to install
Great fine and is somewhat quiet. Once its up, all is well. However this fan took me the best part of a day to install. Instructions miss several important steps, it is fidley with small screws that can't easily be screwed in without using pliers and a host of other tools. Finally, there is NOT enough space at the top where all the wires are. Chances are you will damage the electrics trying to get the top housing around them - way isn't this housing bigger? Like I said, once its up though a great fan.

Could have been five stars
A nice fan/light combniation, surprised at just how bright the light is considering we previously had a three bulb affair and this is a single one. The fan works well and is relatively quiet and in the recent heatwave has been a bit of a godsend. What stops it from being five stars is; 1) cramming all the wires and cables into such a small space made installation difficult and lengthy and 2) the infrared receiver looks like an after thought, surely making it part of the housing couldn't have been that difficult if the housing was sufficiently large enough in the first place. But despite these two niggle I am very satisfied with it

Wouldn't buy again.
Very fiddly to fit and wouldn't recommend trying to do it on your own.Ordered 2 for two rooms, had to return one as cable damaged and ordered replacement. They tried to refund me on the new reduced price instead of what I paid. Also no free return and will have to pay up front which cost £17 and then claim back.Amazon refunded within 24 hours the postage and within 4 days of return bit had to make 3 calls to resolve refunds. No bulbs come with the light also which isnt a big thing but at normal £90 you would think bulbs would be included like other suppliers.

Once installed, looks decent. No complaints
Once installed, looks decent. Works as expected. No complaintsThe transformer is a tight squeeze to fit in a very small space, this makes the light more difficult and heavy to install. I have installed a few ceiling fans and would say this one is as heavy as they get. The remote control looks and feels very cheap.

Doesn't come with bulbs
Overall this is a nice ceiling fan. It is pretty quiet on low setting and displaces quite a lot of air when on full. Ok in a smallish room which it is in. Quite easy to put up if you have basic d.i.y & electrical skills although all the wires are difficult to get all in the shroud.November 19, remote has packed up working! Seeing if I can get a replacement from them as fan is useless without the remote......we'll see......

Check first
Would have given it 5 stars. But the metal cover had rust on, which I had to rub down and repaint. I would have sent it back but I had it assembled and finished, untill I noticed the rust.
