Great camera as an entry-level Full Frame DSLR
Bought as an upgrade to my 7D mk1, as was wanting to go full frame and get better low-light performance.+ Love the articulated touch-screen, makes tripod-mounted operation so easy. Build quality and weather resistance are as good as you would expect from a FF Canon. Like the addition of a lock-button on the program selector. Updated inclusion of Wifi & Bluetooth means, as well as internal intervalometer (two options: either multiple RAW/JPEG or a single movie file) and bulb timer mean I no longer need a separate remote which is a bonus. Timelapse movies are possible in 4K or 1080p.- RAW files I find have a slightly limited dynamic range but it does open up slightly from ISO 400-600, particularly in recovering the shadows. Do also miss having a thumb joystick on the back. On the time-lapse movie option files are limited to 2 Gb which is a bit annoying sometimes. Widely mentioned is the lack of 4K video too - it's a grievance but not a showstopper.

brilliant little camera
I'm a pro photographer and my main cameras are Canon 1DX II built like a tank and the weight of a tank when walking any distance. This 6D II is ideal for long walks and is a improvement over the original version, i'm not bothered by a touchscreen or the articulating function what I am concered with first and foremost is picture quality and this version is really excellent. The HDR setting is also useful when exposure is tricky.Features are limited compared with say a 5D IV, but it has one that I love a quiet shutter if I dont want to benoticed.

I love it
I've taken to sports photography and I've been using a single 6D II for the season. I saw the body was on offer and decided to get a second one so I can load 2 lenses at once. I was tempted to go mirrorless but I am really familiar with the 6D II and have found no real probelms with it I decided to get the same again. It will also help my day job where I need an easy to use camera to take faults onboard trains :-) What can I say, I have dragged my original camera up mountains, through torrential rain, bashed it on rocks, dropped it onto concrete and it still works other than a slight and very minor intermittent fault on the SD card slot where my dog bit into it :-) With the camera demonstrating this type of strength and because I know what I need to know backwards on it I couldn't resist buying again. The pros are quite fast focus which is reliable and only fades a little under diabolical light conditions. The sensor is relatively sensitive and I can take pictures through my 100-400 at F5.6 1/600th under shlt poor light with an ISO 0f<20000 which records enough information to get pretty good images out using DXO pure. In good lighting conditions it is brilliant. Everything could always be better and the sensor could have a few more pixels but I can still crop 4 or 5:1 and produce images good enough for the match programme so I can't really complain. It would be great if the ionisation wasn't quite as bad at ISO 20-40 000 because I can only crop 2:1 then but to be honest for the money I don't think I could get a better camera. I can't rate it highly enough and the original one has lasted 5 years so far and given me hundreds of hours of fun.

Lovely Camera
I love this camera, I personally don't see why it has been slated by so many, as primarily a landscape photographer I love all the new features, the "tilty flippy screen" has reduced the bending & stretching I used to have to do with my other cameras, I find the GPS feature really useful as now that my photos are geotagged I can auto categorise them better on my computer & have an exact location when I want to revisit a location at a different time of year. Not being mirrorless means it doesn't burn up a battery in 5 minutes. The lack of edge-to-edge focus points is a non-argument as the dominant point of focus in any photograph falls well within the available selection & you have close to edge-to-edge when in live view anyway. All in all, I'm very satisfied with the 6DM2, it is one of the best cameras in its price bracket.

Great DSLR if you are looking to go Full Frame
Well built camera, with a professional feel, much more options at your reach if you are trying to move to the next level with your photography. In terms of image quality, while not on par with it's most expensive peers, the Full frame sensor gives good detail, amazing colours, and enough dynamic range to produce great edits in lightroom or similar software. If you are a professional you may miss double memory card slot, viewfinder-wide AF points and greater dynamic range at lower ISOs; then again this is a low-priced Full frame solution aimed at enthusiasts and not professionals therefore I think it is a perfect match if you are looking for a relatively inexpensive Full Frame camera to step up your photography and make the most of the range of full frame lenses.

Returned as a component inside the camera was broken.

A proper camera at a reasonable price
I think this camera has been unfairly criticised in some parts of the photo media. Although I sometimes find it difficult to tell the difference between the results from this and my 80D, it at least has given me access to some wonderful full frame lenses at their nominal focal lengths. And it just shows how good the 80D is.

Great spec.
Really is capable of far more than I currently utilise but provides me with the incentive to learn more and improve my photography.
