Hi at what distance are the lazer lines on the floor stay very bright?

The laser lines will stay fairly bright for up to 10 metres if not more depending on floor colour and light conditions.

How do you know if it's level when wall mounted? Do you just level the baseplate that screws onto the wall?

It's only for marking out floors not walls

The beam shines both ways at 90 degrees so if you get one line right the other is 90 degrees to it. I always use the target supplied on the long run and a piece of white card to check your following the line as you are going along. You'll find that on long runs or in bright light the lazer light gets more difficult to see as you get further away.

Hi i have one of these. Is there a way to reset the square as mine is off

I am not aware of any facility to alter this machine.If you bought it new and it's not working correctly you should return it. If you didn't buy it new it may have been dropped or damaged some other way. I have looked closely at mine and can't see any way of altering or getting into it.

Excellent laser square

Excellent laser square from Bosch, stands up off the ground and shines bright, used this to set a 120m2 floor out for tiling and managed to get it shining from one end of the house to the other. The addition of the 45 line is a great help for setting out herringbone floors

Great for intended purpose.

I like that the lasers don't shine in my eyes as they are shielded in the upwards direction. So for plotting straight lines and right or 45 deg angles on a surface, this is a great tool to work with.

Used this laser for 600mmx 300mm tiles, walls and floor in a small bathroom.Very accurate tile placement acheived, good results so far.

Perfect floor layout tool

I found the Bosch GTL-3 compact and dead simple to operate. It helped me find the centre of a really tricky space, I used it for accurate triangulation indication from the corners when laying out a herringbone floor, as well as for a variety of other layout guides.It also has a handy metallic magnet base, so it can be mounted on to vertical surfaces as well.I thoroughly recommend this handy tool.

Wish it was brighter or a green laser

Well made bit of kit, just wish the laser was stronger, very hard to see lines in a moderate light.
