Q: How long it will last on full charge, let say in economical or medium mode?

Well I keep it to the side of my bed in charge all the time unless I need it for less than 30 mins bec on full charge it’s only last 20/30 mins

this flashlight needs to be double click to turn on ,So it's not so easy to touch and turn on ,i like it .it is a great flashlight for an everyday carry

Q: Do i need to cycle through different modes for each use ?

Yes just start of by charging it as the red colour is on it’s charging then press the button 3 in a row then u get a white light then press the button just once’s then it’s changes to diff colour and so on u get like there 7 options but u need to press the button 3 time in a row to start the colour or to use it as a tourch just press the button 2 times only and the torch comes on and there 3 strength to the torch onnce it’s on just press the button 1 time each to brighten the torch I hope this helps you.

No, the torch remembers both front light level and side light mode after a long press off then a double press on
