Portmeirion is my very favorite glass ware. This Portmeirion Botanic Garden Butter Keeper is perfect. It is beautiful, but not delicate. It is very sturdy although it looks delicate. The little button handle is just large enough to get hold of to lift the lid easily, and it is the perfect size for two sticks of butter. It keeps the butter fresh and soft enough to use even on cold bagels. would definitely recommend this Portmeirion butter dish to add to your collection.

I love this to put my butter in. It is easier than unwrapping it when I want butter. It looks good in the refrigerator and on the table. Holds four slices. Love my butter.

This is gorgeous! Sure it's original intent was some sort of trinket box, but it easily holds 2 sticks of butter, and if you push them down 4 should fit easily. I'd like a bit of rubber around the lid to secure it better, but still it's a fantastic alternative to most anything else out there!

Did have a defect in the finish but good price so I kept it anyway.

I have two Port Merion butter dishes - one from the UK and one made in China. I like THIS one and my other half prefers the UK one as it is a flat dish with a cover vs this is a “box” with a lid. I like it better because the lid doesn’t get butter on it (other one does). Partner prefers the other because it is easier to get the butter out of it. Ok. Whatever. Well made. Beautiful design. I like the price. And fast shipping and well packaged!
