Fantastic re-release set of early 90's Fall classics
A truly excellent re-release set. These are 2CD sets of their albums from 1990, 1991 and 1992, where they were expected to fall off (excuse the pun) after the departure of Brix but yet produced three really strong albums, featuring such classics as 'Bill's Dead', 'Rose', 'Free Range' and 'Time Enough at Last'. Very accessible (for The Fall) and definitely worth a listen for new listeners. For those of us who know them well, it certainly was an interesting period where their sound changed once again, featuring more electronics and even dance elements. The packaging is really strong cardboard and the quality of the music is equally as strong, good liner notes and not a cheap-looking compilation like many are these days. Definitely worth the purchase.

Great Collection Of Early 90s Fall
I'm not going to review the 3 albums here. The Fall seem to be a band you either love or hate. This set is really nicely packaged. Each album consists of 2 CDs, the album itself and a CD of extras, in mini gatefold sleeves. The extras are B-sides, live tracks and Peel session tracks and are worth listening to. There's no filler here. There's also a nicely put together booklet. Overall this is definitely worth the £25.61 that's it's currently on sale for.

Outstanding Reissue Of Three Excellent Fall Albums
This is an outstanding album collection from the Fontana years. It’s a reissue of the previous two disc sets with each album housed in separate gatefold cardboard sleeves all in a sturdy slip case. A booklet is included with information on the albums and related single artwork, etc. I won’t review the albums as most buying this will be familiar with these releases. For the uninitiated, however, the album Shift-Work is one of my favorites by them ever so I would recommend this set to a newbie as well. Get it while you can, Fall merchandise goes in and out of print regularly due to the numerous labels Mark and the gang have been on over the years.

For those who have not - otherwise stay away...
This is a great collection of Fall music from their time on Fontana. Most Fall fans will have these tracks already (via the original pressings or the reissued editions) but if you do not then it will be a purchase to be made - for the originals and the double edition cds are long out of print. But Fontana need to be taken to task for the packaging: it is cheap and nasty. If I knew it was a paper sleeve reissue I would not have bought it.

A must have for any Fall fan.
I have been bingeing on the music of MES and the Fall for the last eight months and this is one of my favorite collections. The three albums proper represent the Fall in their early nineties Madchester/dance /techno phase but the three cds of singles, B-sides,EPs and John Peel sessions are the real reason to get it. The thing I like best is how much the live Peel sessions differ from the album versions. Even the single version of a song will differ significantly from its album version, but both are great in its own way. A great addition to my growing Fall collection.
