Let there be light (where it's supposed to go)
These spotlights appear well-crafted, solid to the feel, stylish and functional, just what I needed to direct the light over the fireplace to where it needed to go. I like the single kelvin of these spotlights, not too yellow or blue, perfect for artwork. Theoretically easy to install, except we were replacing two 4" can lights (that just weren't getting the job done) and had to use two "goof rings" because the holes in the celing drywall were just slighly larger than the base of the lights. I also had to put these two spotlights on a dimmer switch, because the full-on lumens was too bright for my situation. In hindsight I should have **probably** bought the version that had two swivel lights and bulbs per spotlight, for even more lighting options for my very wide mantle.

Nice Spot Lamp but Doesn't Dim as Much as Expected
This spot lamp was a breeze to install, and it does a good job on highlighting a picture on the wall. However, I was hoping the light would dim more than it does. I used the same slide type dimmer wall switch as I have used in other applications. Those all dim to nearly "off", but this one remains fairly intense at the lowest slide setting. Also, while I knew this light was not capable of narrowing or widening the focus of the lamp on the wall, it would have been a nice feature to have had. I think that would have diffused the spot enough to suit my needs. All in all, it is a well made product that is easy to install, and it does the job that was advertised.

Great value for a temporary light need that might just become permanent
Wife and I couldn't nail down which creative lighting idea - of 100s we looked at - to go with for a new room addition on our house. Electrician needed something NOW so we bought these as a temporary measure while we continued to look at beautiful fixtures for 100s or 1000s of dollars. And at somewhere around 100-150 for four of them, we might just keep them. They look great and disappear on the ceiling and will nicely light up artworks on the walls if we decide to have some stuff.

Simple, good quality light, no flickering
I replaced a halogen unit that was starting to fail. I've been using this for about 2-3 months now. It works great. This is a good fixture if you don't need dimming capabilities.

Nice lights, but with some issues
This is a review for the Vanopee Flush Mount Ceiling Spot Light 3000K. These are good quality for the price point and installation is straightforward. They provide a natural color 24 degree light beam, so they have more of a spot effect rather than flooding the lit area. The white painted matte finish is good looking. I encountered a couple of issues during installation, one of which might be caused by my particular situation, but I don't believe so. First, the gauge of the wiring in the light fixture is quite thin stranded wire. In some ceiling boxes I needed to cut off the pre-wired lever nuts so that the fixture could be connected to existing wiring using standard wire nuts (since there were multiple existing wires at the point of the wire nut). But there is so little protruding fixture wire that after cutting off the lever nuts, it was almost impossible to connect the remaining wire to the circuit using wire nuts. I actually had to splice in an additional short length of wire, using an additional wire nut, in order to comfortably reach the existing house wiring at the point of another wire nut. I got it to work after a lot of extra time spent resolving the issue. Unfortunately, with the fixture wiring being so thin and also stranded, I lost some of the strands when stripping the insulation off the end in order to make a connection with the wire nut. The light still works, though. Second issue, installing 5 of these lights, most of them were very hard to mount flush to the ceiling.. They tended to drop a bit from being flush, even though the side screws were very tight. The problem may have been due to the fact that the fixture's inner plate was almost identical in size to the hole that was cut in the ceiling drywall for the old lights. I was able to screw the plate in securely anyway, but as mentioned, after attaching the fixture to the plate using the side screws, there was still some loose play causing the light to drop very slightly from being flush to the ceiling. After a few retries, they are close to flush but not perfect. I am still happy with these lights, and I'm sure no one other than me will notice any of the issues. They could be improved, however, by using solid wire rather than stranded, by using a thicker wire gauge, and by perhaps altering the attachment method to achieve greater flushness to the ceiling.
