I bought this for my son for Christmas. He was wanting a full size ping pong table. When I came across this, I decided to try it. We are very pleased with the purchase. The net clips to the table and has rubber on both sides so it doesn’t scratch it. Very practical and much easier than buying the full size table! Good value for the money!

I got the kit with 4 paddles, 8 balls and the net. I was not expecting much for this price, but the whole kit came in well organized in a special zip soft case, with great ping pong balls. None of the parts are anything extravagant by any means, but they are better than some of the cheap kid sets you get at big box stores. To me, the paddles feel like a cheaper, but still good, version of the paddles my dad had, which were the paddles used by the team at National Taiwan University (big on ping pong).Overall the balls and paddles are great. I was able to do the standard old drill of bouncing the ball on the paddle and keeping it up for as long as you can go without any issue. While the surfaces of the paddles are smooth, without any nubs, the soft texture is almost sticky, which allowed me to put some English on my volleys, despite not having played for at least two decades.The net is very convenient. That said it is also the one potential ding against the kit. While the spring mechanism is very easy to use and currently is strong, it could very easily wear down over time. Even new, the way the clamps hold the net is not very tight, so the net, while straight, has some give and droop.Overall though, especially for the price, this is a great kit to get started playing table tennis that is a step above the kiddie junk you might see elsewhere.

I got this for using outdoors while glamping, at home on the deck, or inside on the arts and crafts table on rainy days. It is perfect for these purposes because it sets up very easily and quickly on most tables and comes down just as easily. The net has spring-loaded clamps that extended long enough for my thick teak picnic table. Children older than about 12 could probably do it themselves but the springs on the net are a little too strong for younger kids. The paddles are wooden and very nice for the price. There are 6 ping pong balls to get you started too. This set comes in a basic but serviceable case that zips up. It has a handle to make it easy to carry, and all of the components fit back into the case neatly so it’s great for bringing to a picnic or the campground. If you don’t care to keep it neat and would rather save space (like I do when traveling), you can take out the tray that is in the case or pop the whole thing in a different bag and it would take up a few less inches.
