I have an 11 year old chi and a 5 year old chiweenie and because living in Denver gets chilly, I got them this for Christmas! It’s been a huge hit. It’s big and great quality. Although they wouldn’t chew the cord, it does have a chew resistant cable which is cool. You can control the temp and set timers, which is my favorite part. It also seems super safe and won’t overheat with them on it, which gives me peace of mind while I’m at work! 5 stars from us!

This is the pad I put under my new pups along with turning up the heat in the room. It helped keep them warm enough to survive the first weeks of life. It has a good, reliable timer and an easy to use thermostat. At two weeks we took off the cloth cover and slipped the plastic heat pad under the newspapers lining their puppy whelping box and they still liked sleeping on it. The soft cloth cover is washable. No extreme hot spots with this product just a nice warm corner they could easily move off of when they felt too warm. Mom often lay on it while nursing. Everybody liked it. The plastic is thick. The cover is washable, It's easy to wipe clean and the cord is sturdy. I don't like heat lamps because of the risk of fire. This made a good workable solution in a warm room. The pad isn't gigantic, just 18 inch square, we have a smaller breed of dog, a large breed might need two or more of these heat pads.

i bought one of these in August and it stopped working within a a few weeks so i returned it and got a new one thinking it was just a bad one in the bunch. Nope the replacement stopped working just over a month after I received it and it is too late to return. I will purchase a different brand. This one is NOT worth the money-Don’t waste your time or money on this product. The only nice thing about it was that it had 2 covers.

The pad does warm and it seems to be water proof (no strong rains yet).The cat likes it and it is easy to adjust the temp/time.I'd buy it again.
