Girls WW1 Nurse Costume Large

Daughter is 9 and the 8 to 10 size would have been large enough but had ordered the larger size just in case and it had room to spare on the arms and length but was perfectly fine as the sleeves rolled under and the apron ties pulled the dress in. Only downside is the hat, it flops a bit and I thought it would be stiffer and stand up as it is attached to a head band. Way I solved it was to get a white piece of card and cut it to the shape of the material then just roughly tack it with white thread, took just a few minutes to solve.

Lovely fit my daughter is six size are small so needed 9/10 rather have more room than to tight.

Bought for my grandaughter for school dress up day, the costume was good value for money, and warm enough for late March weather, as the sleeves are long. She did however need a pair of cycle shorts underneath as you could see her underwear through the back !!

I am torn as to return the costume or not as the colors of the costume on the website photo are more vibrant at least the cross on the photo is red and in real life is a very dull rust color. Headpiece is quite flimsy too. fabric is cheap and synthetic. Not sure.

This was bought for my six year old. Delivered promptly, it fits well and she likes it. However, although I think it's okay, it's not great. My reservations come from the fact that the apron is sewn into the dress and the head piece is poorly constructed and sits awkwardly, looking quite lopsided. I was not expecting the apron to be like this as there is no mention of this in the product description which describes the apron as "fake". I think a better description should have been given as this is inaccurate and a little misleading. An apron was a key element of a nurses outfit, which could have been easier to manufacture separately rather than sewn in, I would imagine. I would not have bought this had I known.

Ordered for granddaughter's WW11 day at school. Great that it was all in one with no apron to lose. The hat was a bit flimsy & wouldn't stand proud but an accurate size so overall a nice product. Arrived the day before needed to the seller kindly upgrading to 1st class at no extra cost.

Bought the large as my daughter is quite tall for 8, wanted it to reaxch the top of her shoes. This was the perfect outfit for WW1 dress up for school. It was comfortable enough to wear all day for school and washed well when she came home covered in chocolate and it looked like it had been in the wars! Has been borrowed by others also now. Good addition to any dress up collection that all mums need!

The dress is a good fit and easy to wear however the headband "nurses hat" flops forward and needs assistance to stand upright which was annoying. I had to reinforce the "hat" using DIY skills and tape. Shame as otherwise would have been really good.
