Yellowstone Stainless Steel Cutlery Set

If these had cost more than £2.50, like in the region of 6-7-8 pounds, I would have been disappointed but as they are cheap and will do the job I don't mind.These came WITH the bag/sleeve (everyone mentioned they didn't get) but 5 mins into inspecting them the metal rivet that holds all of them together snapped off. Then.... the second time I looked at them a week later.. the other one snapped off whilst trying to fit them together. (So they will no longer lock together as one unit.) To be honest, as I have the bag it doesn't matter so much.The blade of the knife is as blunt as a piece of chedder cheese but you can sharpen it yourself.I am actually going to give these 4 stars. And why? Because if I loose them camping then I am really not going to be that bothered compared to loosing a £20+ set of cutlery. Also the rivets were not that comfortable in the palm of the hand anyway and I could see myself at some point removing them anyhow.Pros: Cheap, fairly tough and not too flimsy, came with tight fitting bag, don't care if I loose them.Cons: Rivets came off, blade very blunt, not quality items as suchp.s I am going to bind the handles with tightly wound cloth to create a larger gripping surface and be more comfortable in the hand. Should still fit in the bag that way too.

It's a knife, a fork, and a spoon that clip together and slot into a little fabric case. Just what I was looking for as compact, lightweight cutlery for hiking/camping. That said, they're not perfect.Pros:They are lightweight and compact and putting them away in the case stops them damaging anything else in my bag.The fork functions as a fork (!) and the spoon is a decent spoon.Cons:The case is a bit on the small side and therefore a very tight fit. Could just do with a few extra millimetres.Clipping the items together is quite tricky. You have to get them in exactly the right order or it doesn't work. And it seems to require mildly bending the knife, which doesn't seem like a great idea. As with the case, they same to have made the posts that hold it all together just a little shorter than they ought to be.The knife wouldn't cut butter that's spent 30 seconds in a microwave! Basically it's a flat bit of metal with no blade on it to speak of at all. Thankfully I've never had much use for a knife when camping - a spoon handles pretty much everything that a rehydrated expedition pack and a cup of tea can throw at you!Summary: useful enough for the cheap price. However, I may have been better off just buying a spork. I'm determined to find a use for the bit of metal that describes itself as a knife but so far I've had no inspiration.

I bought this for my current long library hours, because the normal cuttlery kept on making holes in the bags, and I didnt want to use disposable ones. One of the two screwas that keep the set together broke in the very first day of use, but it doesnt really matter because i can still keep them together inside the very useful little bag the set comes with. the cuttlery itself is of good quality, and the knife cuts enough for a pack lunch. I am happy to recommend, for the price it is brilliant.

I can not say much about this product. I have one at the office and another one for camping. It does the job, and after 6 months of almost daily use it does not show any sign of corruption.The only downside, it does not seem to fit that well together anymore. But I am being quite critic. For the price I pay, I am rather happy with it.

Hi! In general cutlery is ok. However picture is incorrect - there is no case or cover shown on main picture. So you should put them in some plastic bag which is not very convenient and stylish. Or you can just cerry them in your ruksack, but in this case you should really cleen them well, which is not always easy, especially in cold weather.

My set arrived with the black holder you can see in this product description. A very basic set, but it's small and lightweight and just what you need when you go camping. I bought two of these for a couple of us who were camping, and they did the job perfectly.The bottle opener attached to the knife is poor, and it took several attempts to open bottles with it, however for the price you pay this is not really an issue.

If you travel a lot like we do then as you know sometimes you end up in rooms where you want to eat a takeaway and are faced with either your fingers or the teaspoon from the kettle set. I always slip this into my bag and can happily 'picnic' in my room when I want to. Am sure it works for campaign as well as is compact and clips neatly together.

Excellent kit for camping, small but very practical to use. The knife isn't sharp but will spread food like butter, soft cheese and pâté easily and can also serve as a bottle opener. The pouch that came with the cutlery set will prove very useful if the rivets on the spoon to keep the cutlery set together should ever break.
