Grain Wood Furniture Shaker 2-Drawer Bedside Nightstand, Solid Wood with Walnut Finish

High quality, solid wood at an amazing price. I’m not handy or mechanical, but was able to assemble in about an hour, by myself. The hardest part was opening the box it shipped in! The drawers open and close easily and the finished product looks just perfect!

There's nothing to complain about. It's all actual wood, and plywood for the back and drawer bottoms. Every piece is precision cut and square. All joints are butt type with alignment dowels and pocket screws, and everything fits perfectly. Every predrilled hole was perfect. The finish is excellent. The hardware is quality. The instructions were clear. The only extras for me were to polyurethane the plywood and glue all joints.The drawers are square and aligned. The finished piece does not rock.I'll be back.

Because many of the parts need to be screwed together, bar clamps kept the parts from separating. A cordless drill helped as well. My 70 year old hands could not have taken the abuse without the drill. Good value & sturdy to last my life time.Please considerate donating your old furniture to Habitat for Humanity. A furniture store is going to dump your old stuff if they deliver new & haul out your old.

I just finished putting this unit together. It is generally well-designed with good instructions. The unit is solid wood (including some plywood) with no engineered wood. There are a lot of screws, so it takes a good hour+ to assemble if you are used to assembling things like this and you are careful.There were only two issues I had during the assembly: 1) one screw going up into the table top went too far and poked through, so I had to be careful with those to not tighten them too much. Thus the four stars. Those screws are guided by a pre-drilled angled hole, so it is a design flaw. The table top being slightly thicker or those screws being slightly shorter would help 2) I installed a couple nails in the back without being perfectly straight and they poked through inside the cabinet. Take your time to assemble this; the end result is a nice little nightstand.

Good value for the money! And there were a couple of parts that need to replace replacement out of the two units I bought and assembled. However, the resolution was easy through Amazon and the seller came through perfectly well. It was all a very easy process. However, the assembly is a little on the tricky side, but not too bad. I got it right in the end after a few small missteps on my part.

Finish is beautiful and very good quality for fhs price. I would buy it again.

I was looking for furniture set that was not cheap pressboard or overly expensive. I bought these nightstands to complement the headboard and the chest of drawers and I’m very pleased.The drawers slide easily in and out. They are the right size there’s enough room to put small lamps on them and also have room for your phone or water bottle or whatever is your deal.I was concerned that some of the pieces of the set might be damaged in shipping. They were very well packed and there was no damage at all.None of the boards were warped or difficult to work with and the stain was very even on all pieces.If you’re looking for some thing that’s nice but not outrageously priced and real wood I don’t know if you can do much better than these.Will these be heirlooms that I will pass down to all the younger McBalls in the family, probably not but nobody wants your old furniture anyway.
