Manufacturer won’t honor warranty when unit stops working.
The unit itself is built well but the sensor failed just after 2 years of use. The seller was no help with warranty and after contacting the manufacturer I was told that they would not honor the 10 year warranty because the unit was purchased using Amazon. After contacting Amazon I was reimbursed part of my purchase price through them. All in all Amazon done right by me but the seller and manufacturer was no help whatsoever. I will never buy a RAB lighting unit again. If a company manufactures an item with a 10 year warranty but won’t honor it then the item is useless when it has problems and should be priced accordingly. With no warranty then this unit should be in the $40-50 range like other lighting units sold on Amazon.

High quality lights and awsome warranty support
I built a new house in 2013 and the electrician installed 6 STL200HB units around the house. All work excellently as designed. However, one of the units failed to function and I noticed the red led light on that unit is no longer lit. Called the company and told them the builder's electrician installed them, so I do not have the receipt for the lamps. The warranty rep, William, immediately issued a RMA and stated they will ship out th sensor part ASAP from Washington state and I should get it delivered in NC in about 4 days. I say, that is excellent customer service. So, the bottom line is, buy RAB products from authorized dealers if you want the full warranty for the product, which is 10 years.

One significant flaw that greatly reduces value
Update:After taking these lights apart now a few months after installation, the corrosion on the cross bar is a serious problem. The crossbar is a critical piece of the light and serves as a ground tie. All of the cross bars I’ve found on the web so far are zinc plated, but it’s not clear whether zinc is adequate or rated for outdoor or damp locations. Subtracting another star, as this greatly detracts from the utility of the light fixture. The crossbar bars should be stainless, period. Inexplicable choice by RAB, as the rest of the fixture is very well made. These lights are way superior to any box store outdoor lights. But, two stars off for a real shortcoming in a vital component. The lights come with a crossbar for a round box that lets you mount the lights on a round junction. That’s good, as you aren’t limited to square junction boxes. But the bad part is that this crossbar rusts quickly just from exposure to a humid environment. The crossbar, if used, is the structure holding the light up, so if it fails, the fixture loses watertight integrity and could just come loose. The bar is made of some cheap chromed steel, not what you’d expect given the quality of the overall fixture. How much more would it have cost to make this part stainless? $2, $5,? Really dumb decision that jeopardizes the installation. Especially dumb given that they use stainless hardware in other places on the fixture, not like they don’t have a supplier.

Lasted less than 2 years
I felt pretty good about this floodlight, initially. It's solidly built; the gasket and overall design did a great job keeping out the elements. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, it started having intermittent issues with detection. This got progressively worse over another week, until finally the entire unit just stopped working (including the indicator light). The wiring tests just fine (and the cheaper unit that replaced it is doing great). For the price, 2 years just isn't a long enough life.

So far a good investment
There are many things to like about this fixture. It is well constructed and looks good. The sensor is much higher quality than the cheap motion lights you buy at the Big Box stores. No false triggers when it is windy, snowing or raining. The negatives are fairly minor. Poorly written directions for assembly and installation. The mounting system could be sturdier. The big test will be time. For the price this fixture had best last for many years.

Great looking and performing light
Hired professional electrician for the install. The lights look great. Kudos to the company for including all the hardware needed for installation and a well-written installation booklet. It includes many useful tips.Especially pleased with the fine-tune capability of the sensor. I am geeky by nature, so really enjoyed taking the extra time to systematically test the sensor's range and angle of view, and adjust the sensitivity. Everything worked as advertised. Also confirmed the double look-down capability, which detects things just in front of and directly below the unit.Another nice feature is if you set the unit to night-time operation only, and it's daytime, a small red LED on the face will light whenever it detects motion. This is handy to verify the unit is still working correctly without having to switch the unit to daytime operation.Overall, very pleased with the purchase.Update: 03-29-2012-------------------Had this unit a little over a year; still running strong. Continues to work as advertised and it is exposed to the elements including snow.

Died after just 2 years!
Well so much for RAB Quality because it's just not there, 2 years and it died! I didn't think I would have to bring out the ladder, actually pay someone to go up on a ladder to replace a 2 year old fixture with the RAB name on it. I paid 4-5 times more than a regular Home depot light which would last far longer. DO NOT BUY! **Update**. RAB is a great company! You can't buy them from Amazon they are not authorized sellers. RAB is taking care of me not this seller. You must buy from an authorized dealer. My other RAB led lights from the supply house are working great.
