Wood Pallet Wonders: DIY Projects for Home, Garden, Holidays and More

I really enjoyed this book! Upcycling and repurposing previously owned items for new things is something I definitely want to try and learn more about, so "Wood Pallet Wonders" is a great start. Although I'm not sure how many of these I'll actually be able to try given that I don't have a lot of space, this is a book I can see myself coming back to in the future when I have the space to create some of these projects. I really appreciate the detail Lamb goes into concerning what you should be looking for in terms of pallets and what sorts of tools you need - all the information is laid out, making it easy to get started and try these DIYs! Each project is simply laid out, with pictures and ideas for variations, as well as a difficulty rating, which is so nice. I also really like how the projects are split up based on season!

This is a great book. Wood Pallets are very easy to obtain, but you must use caution as to which kind of pallets you get. You must get one stamped with IPPC or HT stamp on them. We use to get pallets free, but don’t thin that is the case anymore. In our area pallet average $5.00 each. These projects could be made with any kind of wood. Each project is beautifully pictures with a complete supply list, tools needed, time required, and level of difficulty. I like how the author has projects for Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Tools needed for these projects are probably ones you already have or should have around the house already. Each one of the projects would make a wonderful Christmas or Birthday gift for everyone. I especially like the fishing pole holder. I would love to get anything pictured!

This booked was just what I wanted it has detailed plans, supply list,tool list and pictures for every design. I'm new to reclaimed pallet wood and this has help me build neat stuff others want to buy. So you could say this ,and a few other good books have started me a business. Thanks to the seller the shipping was fast and secure.

I'm definitely not what people call "handy" but I do live in the company of those who are. Wood pallets are something that I have easy access too so being able to learn how to do something with them is of incredibly use to me. There is a wide variety of projects in this book, even I found them to be easy to understand, I also liked that they made very clear which tools to use when and how etc.Though I didn't end up doing much myself I was actually able to help out and even craft a little myself. All in all i'd say this was a solid purchase.

My relationship with pallets began like many peoples. Young, low paying job, and no furniture in the apartment. With few tools, I managed to bang the pallets apart and make the frame for a sofa and two chairs. Oh how I wish I had seen “Wood Pallet Wonders” at that time. Becky Lamb takes the experienced pallet builder or the newbie through the whole process from where to find and select pallets, to the most useful tools. She doesn’t skimp on the safety cautions, since the breaking apart a pallet needs some care. Her tips on selecting pallets that have not been chemically treated is amazing. Just finding pallets is not enough – you need to find the right pallets.My favorite thing about this book is the organization of projects and seasons. Can you use the Winter Hot Cocoa Cart as a Summer Lemonade Stand? Of course, that’s where your creativity and needs come in. But the organization let’s you see creating a few projects each season will provide a steady, wonderful pick-me-up for your house. I am motivated and educated about pallet building and ready to start!
