I bought a Buffalo External Drive years ago and it has always worked perfectly (and still does). So I had no hesitation buying a new 1TB version.It is used to store all my 12 years old sons things on without filling up a laptop unnecessarily and so he can watch his videos, store his pictures, do his homework etc from any device in the house..... Product needed to have stuff done to it b4 it would work on my iMac. Thank goodness for You Tube. So for Mac’s ots not Plug and Play.

It was recognised by PC but the folder didn't appear and couldn't open. I expected I would be able to use it by just connecting with USB, but it took me quite a while to solve the problem.But once it's done, easy to use.I chose BAFFALO to receive good support but it seems like EU version and Japan version got different support. A bit disappointed.

Buffalo make the best external hard drives. This has rubber inside it to protect it from breaking in case it falls on the floor. Also they last very long and are reliable.

I have a few Buffalo mini stations, they are great and have given good service, I chose this one in red so it would stand out from the others which are black. It is plug and play, and worked straight out of the box for me. That is until I deleted what I think must have been some download already on the station. I did follow the instruction which came with it and downloaded I think it was NTFS (for windows) and all worked fine since.

I'm very happy with this very light, pocket-sized hard drive, which so far has done everything I've asked of it.Set up is easy, though I've chosen not to use the offered encryption as I have other options in that regard. It performs back-ups easily and swiftly via a USB 3.0, but works well on a 2.0 also. I haven't had it long enough to comment on its extended life, but thought enough of it to buy one for a friend, so that's as high a recommendation as I can offer.

I use this to back up Time Machine in Mac, plug in , Mac will prompt you through a 1 minute set up . Previous one lasted 3.5 years until I dropped it on a hard floor. This one has more shock proofing, but take care of it.

Arrived on time and was quickly and easily connected to my computer with no problems. I have since downloaded over 400Gb of data onto the drive without any mishap. Reading and writing to the drive has been quick and without problems. So far I am more than happy with the unit and would highly recommend it.
