Economical RV roof vent upgrade
Nicely made, more substantial than the fans I replaced. Took about an hour to install both. Make sure you read the instructions, have extra wire nuts on hand as the wires are a bit larger than the wires on the original and a magnetic tip phillips head screwdriver (you'll appreciate it). Both fans worked with no issues, all speeds in both intake and exhaust. Maybe a bit louder but not sure, wife thinks their quieter.

Reasonable power draw, reasonably quiet
This is a very good upgrade for an RV with either no vent fan, or one of the cheesy 5 inch fans like mine had. I put it in the bathroom. For under $100 you get a good fan that installs into an older/cheaper RV with little fuss. RVs with granite countertops, this isn’t for you. Build quality seems adequate. Not impressive but not disappointing either. 5 stars for the value/price. If it was $200 it would get 3.5 or 4.This moves a lot of air out on high. So much so that if I open the window next to the bed I can put my hand 3 feet from the window and feel the air being pulled in. Even on medium I can feel the draft it creates near the open window. My trailer is small, 21 feet, and I was going to put a second one in my kitchen vent to help pull in cooler air through the windows in the evenings and not run the AC, but I think I could get away with just this one. Having reverse speeds to bring air in is a nice option too.Noise is subjective, so I took some screenshots with an app that measures sounds. On high, I can hear it throughout the trailer but it’s not unpleasant and doesn’t get in the way of talking. On medium, it’s barely there and on low it’s silent unless I’m right in the bathroom. The screenshots have captions with more detail.Power use is: .94 amps on high, .38 amps on medium, .25 amps on low. Other stuff in the trailer is drawing .1 amp, so you have to subtract that from the screen shots.

How to remove the screen? look at the last 2 picture (figure 1 &2)
The media could not be loaded. Oh there is a ton of stuff all over my floor because I had to remove the fan to get at the screen. Rotating the screen DOES NOTHING. There are 6 tabs. The slots the tabs fit in have no hole to make pulling the screen off. It is a REALLY goofy design. Im also lowering my review from a 5 to a 3. It is losing a star because the removable screen really isnt. You have to pull against the the tabs and it feels like you are going to break them. Eventually you will. That is just this design. The only thing I can think of is to do this.before installing the fan in the ceiling. take the screen off. take it off by pushing the tabs from the outside in the area of the fan you would never get to when it is installed. push in slightly like 4-5 of them and it comes loose. then take the fan blade off. What you are going to see is a hole (FIGURE 1) it has no cuts in it. What you need to do to EVERY hole is cut a groove in it half way across the hole (FIGURE 2) Then when you snap the fan in you can rotate it and remove the screen. I think it will hold I cannot see it rotating on its own. It is in there pretty good even after cutting your holes. Make sure they are all half the hole and on the SAME side. That is all I did. Now I can remove the fan without fear of breaking those cheap plastic tabs.My 2022 KZ sportsmen has 2 vents. NEITHER have a fan in them. IT doesnt even have the bracket so you can Add a fan. I think the best way to get heat out of a camper is to have a fan which blows heat out. Anyhow this installed easy in my KZ camper. I had to find power. Which was right near the fan. There were two sets of wires. One was for the light near the vent (That is switched power) I wanted constant 12v. That was the brown wire right next to the pair with yellow on it. I found this by dropping the light out of the ceiling and seeing that one was Yellow. The other light in the bathroom was Brown. Anyhow spliced into that line. Wirenutted this fan in. Slid it back into place and put the trim ring back on. It is a fan. It is bigger than the cheap little fan. Blowing in or out. I dont feel a huge breeze coming through the window. That might be because I have vent covers on the outside of the camper. I am not entirely sure. It moves some air however. I saw a 2 degree difference in 10 minutes when I ran the fan on high yesterday. So it is doing something it just isnt creating a massive breeze. I like it. I will probably buy another.

What a great upgrade to the old “mini-fan.”
This was a replacement for the growling, roaring, fan blade throwing beast in the bathroom of my 1999 Fleetwood Southwind 32v. The instructions are not so clear but able to install with no problems. For those that purchase this item… The blue plugs go in the door setting screw/handle holes not being used.It was a direct replacement and a full upgrade. Due to my old fans age, the assembly was very yellowed. This operates, looks, and has so much better air flow.If your old fan is half as bad as mine was, get this. The install was very easy and is a serious upgrade (air in or out flow).

Don't really move air, can be noisy
These are just alright. They don't really move air like you think they would. Put on "high" blowing inward, I can barely feel any air moving in. The fan is definitely spinning fast, but you can literally barely feel any air movement. I think the fan blade design on these is subpar, or something. They also will occasionally make noise due to the fan rubbing against the screen. I'm not sure how they sometimes do and sometimes don't make noise, nothing changes with them, but if you just give the screen a nudge you'll find a sweet spot where they don't make noise against the screen.
