That I can get lupini when I need them
My need for lupini is rather unusual an may even sound strange. Many years ago was told by a my physician that six lupinis taken every day before breakfast help to control the presence of uric acid and urates in the blood. All I can say is that for both my wife and myself it seems it have worked. We started several decades ago. My wife is 86 and I am 92. So, as the italian sayng goes: SE NON E VERO E BEN TROVATO, meanig that IF IT IS NOT TRUE IT WAS WELL FOUND.

They are very bitter, end up throwing away
It was bad, no matter how much soaking and salting. It didn't improve the taste at all. Just ended up throwing them away. Very disappointing.

I live these beans. They are extremely good for you.Watch YouTube videos on how to cook them as it is a lengthy Process (days) but worth it in my opinion.

A Welcome Find
After moving to an area that doesn't sell such made from scratch italian foodstuff I was very pleased to find Lupini Beans through Amazon. These were of good size and water cured over several days and were delicious.Very pleased with the product and its cost.Though my method of preparation is not traditional it works. I cover the lupini with water to cover and bring up to a boil. I lower to a simmer and do so for about 20-30 mins. Drain and then place in a container large enough for lupini and water to cover. Each day for several days drain off water and add fresh water and refrigerate until following day. After 4 or 5 days I taste one to see if the bitterness has gone. When so it means Lupini's are ready to eat.
