First off i was hoping that this device would work, as the directions clearly state that some dogs either can't hear it or it doesn't work on them, but that is supposed to be a small percentage, like 3% or something like that.Fortunately 'smart' german shepherds live next door to me and the first night i used it they immediately stopped barking and went to the other side of their yard. Please let me point out that a few nights prior to my getting the device in the mail, one of the dogs started barking at 4am and barked continously for 1 and a half hours! that morning i hopped on amazon and found this device and ordered it after reading the reviews for a few similar devices. Let me also point out that every friday night at 10pm they start barking continously for about 40mins, it's so weird but like clockwork i have to go to bed early and there they go, ear plugs do not work as the homes are close together but have long front and back yards.I have had the device for at least a week now and i have only used it 3 times, one of those times was during the day and i just wanted to test it out to see if it wasn't my imagination. it worked beautifully and it was probably good that they saw me use the device during the day. Once they hear the sound, they immediately turn and go the other way.The best part is that i have peace and quiet at night and i can sleep. I am an animal lover and i don't mind if my neighbors dogs bark viciously during the day, afterall i do benefit from their attack mode deterrent barking, lol, i do mind however if they continously bark during the night. If my neighbor won't stop them then i had to do something. (This has been going on for years and i did try and look for a device years ago but this particular type of device was not available. I didn't want to use the lil house device you nail to a tree as i don't want to constantly buy batteries.)But it is very easy to use, flip the switch, point and press. At night I open my bedroom window, i don't want my neighbor knowing that im doing something wit his dogs, LOL hehehe, i even put my finger over the blinking light, which i wish was an option becuz i am only using the device in the dark. I point and press and the dog(s) immediately stop barking, turn and run the other way and the best part is they are smart enough to know not to come back and test the environment out by barking to see if something would happen again. They just stay on the other side of their property. Funny enough they will actually continously bark, at times, on the other side of the property! but i can barely hear it and it doesn't bother me, the other neighbor will have to do something about that if it bothers them. lolThe range is very good as well, i do believe that the dogs can hear it on the other side of their property with a house in between them. Becuz their behavior indicated that they could hear it, how strong is the sound i don't know but it was well past the range of the device and they would stop barking, but start up again. If they are within range once they stop barking they stop completely and run out of range. I only use the device when necessary though i do not want to hurt them nor do i want them to stop barking overall, they should bark their dogs, i like dogs but thankfully and happily the nites are peaceful and quiet.

Bought for: 1. The evil, insane dog next door who jumps up and bites my hand (twice! with blood drawn once of the two times) when I check my mail, and who barks from 7am until they go to sleep at night. 2. Three excessive barkers at different houses that terrorize me when I walk by (with or without dogs of my own). 3. One puppy who does not respond to training and is not food motivated. 4. One dog with a serious bite history, anxiety, who exhibits bad behaviors in spite of training. 5. One dog who wants to murder all other animals and most people, which makes her options very limited in outdoor activities.My results so far:1. No effect on the evil dog. He continued jumping and barking and trying to bite me while I checked my mail. I pressed the Ultrasonic button all the way to my mailbox, and once I was there I had it raised above the fence line, but not over into their yard. He jumped 3 times and on the third jump came up and over enough to bite it out of my hand and break the strap. Note - do not strap this to your wrist when dealing with an aggressive dog.2. Worked on all three barkers with a single 3 second press of the ultrasonic button. They just stopped barking and looked confused. I was able to walk past two easily, and unload groceries from my car with the third barker just watching silently. Amazing! And this device was in my pocket when I aimed and activated it. Stealth mode and it still worked.3. The Beep button worked wonders for this puppy. Corrected all unwanted behaviors with only the beep. Command-Beep-Treat Worked perfectly! No need for the ultrasonic here. You can press and let go, no need to hold these buttons down. Dogs respond quickly to the quick press and release.4. This dog was terrified of it the first time I pressed the ultrasonic button. He did not respond to beep mode. Ran and hid and shook for a minute. It was only a quick press and in response to loud barking at a calm dog walking by outside. I didn't want to use it again on him, seeing that response. But a few days later he growled at me. He was being territorial over his bed, which is a natural dog behavior.With a bite history, guarding and growling could lead to more biting which is a short road with a sad ending for any dog. So, I used the device, again quick press ultrasonic. It took two presses to break him out of the growling and have him successfully respond to the command of "place" (the couch), which allowed me to take the bed for washing. He did not shake or get scared this time, and reverted immediately to calm and proper behavior. This is a wonderful hands-off approach to training at risk dogs. I would be cautious and gently test each dog's response, and never use it for extremely scared or truly aggressive dogs. Worked great for correcting guarding behaviors.5. Have not attempted it with this dog yet. I am very hopeful it will help her be more focused and able to follow simple commands. She has failed multiple training courses, and this is a last-resort strategy. Fingers crossed.Overall, this device is well worth the money. It cannot work on all dogs, but it works great for many dogs in many situations. Be careful, be thoughtful and caring, and patient with your dog/dogs. And always, always use the sliding lock function to prevent accidental presses that would only confuse your pup.Also: I encountered a pibull that had broken loose from its harness and ran full speed at me and my dog. Put my dog behind me and clicked it at the pitbull. Dead stop and ran off away from us. Success!Lastly! Love the SOS function. And the flashlight is bright bright. 100% excellent. Worked the very first time I tried it on my dogs! Having two loud and enthusiastic pups, it was the perfect thing to get through to them. Even the one that is half Border Collie stops after one press of the ultrasonic button (it gets through to him when he’s laser-focused on something). Neither dog seems to mind the sound, but I have not used the sustained sound (holding the button down) so I can’t speak to that.

Para o meu objetivo, o produto foi sensacional. A ideia era treinar o meu cão para latir menos. No primeiro toque, ele já ficou alerta e parou de latir imediatamente. Precisei usar no máximo umas três vezes, e nunca mais precisei apertar o botão sonoro. O meu cão já para de latir só de ver que eu vou buscar o equipamento. É muito poderoso, é preciso usar com cautela também. Recomendo para quem tem consciência e saberá fazer bom uso do mesmo.

Yo trabajo mucho en campo, un dia trabaje en un rancho una obra y uno de mis jefes llevo su mascota y nos topamos me mordió y desidi calar este producto y desde entonces es una erramienta que cargo en mi chaleco funciona muy bien pa los perros bravos, escandalosos y pa que no los correten no los lastima pero a ti si te proteje 💯👍👍👍

My dog is extremely protective, and defends her space and people without prejudice! Her barking gets to be excessive at times, and this worked immediately! No more yelling for her to stop, and my neighbour probably appreciates it more than me, lol. Great product!

Dont waste your time and money on this... and if your are buying it for safety reasons don't risk your life with it like i did.It does not work on big dogs... rather they charge back at you if you point this towards them. I bought it as the neighbor's dog was constantly baking and they won't stop him but i tried it from all angles and distances but this just does not work. The dog almost bit me when i raised this thankfully i was also carrying a sick.
