When you need a phone extension.
I had to add a phone ringer/flasher for someone with a hearing issue. He wanted it near the tv, so he could see it when a call came in. The way our living room is set up, I needed to extend the phone line to the tv and back again. This phone cord and the connector was perfect.

Old school
Thankful I found these on Amazon because I doubt the stores still sell them. I have a landline upstairs and downstairs and I replaced the older black phone with a cream one. The cord it came with was too short so I needed a longer one. I didn’t want to use the old black cord with the new phone.
